Every time Price fights people go on about his power, he hasn't actually knocked out a decent boxer since 2012 , Allen retired but Price didn't really put a dent in him , just wore him down.
Price is shot to hell, Chisora inside 3 rounds

His power is good, gave counts to Thompson , Hammer, and Pov. Showed serious pop even in defeat.
That said, he hasn't been finishing these guys, and with his vulnerabilities he really needs to end things sooner rather than later vs good opposition.

I like Price but I don't think he should be taking this fight in all honesty, Chisora will muller him I reckon, as a fan I want to see great fights so don't usually bother too much about right fights at right time, leave all that poo to matchmakers but there are exceptions and Price is one of them, at his stage he should be treading carefully
In saying all that if Price has still has title aspirations, delusional or otherwise then beating Chisora is a great scalp and career best win

Re: Derek Chisora vs. David Price - 26 October 2019
I was wondering the same, price was basically saying the other day he was only going to take fights that are in his favour unless there was a really big offer come in.
The fact he's taken this one and without a full training camp makes me think/hope that it's over a million....but just guessing obviously.
Re: Derek Chisora vs. David Price - 26 October 2019
My heart's with Pricey, but my bet is on Chis by KO. could be a violent one at that.
Re: Derek Chisora vs. David Price - 26 October 2019
While in one way Chisora is like Allen, he is a level above, he can keep applying the pressure without picking up the damage on the way in, which spells bad news for Price.
Re: Derek Chisora vs. David Price - 26 October 2019
I think Price should go all out and try and finish it in the first 4 rounds

And how do we know Price hasn’t been training?chiggsy wrote: ↑08 Oct 2019, 15:46I was wondering the same, price was basically saying the other day he was only going to take fights that are in his favour unless there was a really big offer come in.

I think thats what Price will try and do. The issue is Chisora will just soak it up for 4 rounds and tire Price out. Price will not land that big shot. I just cant see it. This is a big fight for Price and he will be shot before he climbs over the ropes.

Price has always looked good against guys he’s sparred many times and guys he had the better of when an am.
He pounded Sexton who was a national teammate, he destroyed Dallas who he comprehensively beat in the ams and had sparred many a time.
Price sparred Chisora back in the day when both were ams and after Del Boy won the seniors. Apparently Price found it very easy.
Obviously a lot has changed since then and Del Boy has come on miles and miles since then but maybe, just maybe, it will give Price confidence?
Nah, I’m clutching, Chisora by halfway.

Yeah, although he did OK going rounds last time out.
His stamina was good (for Price) against Allen. He showed he could box and jab past 6 rounds
If Chisora tries what he did Vs Takem, I feel it would be a mistake.
I like this match better than Parker.
Re: Derek Chisora vs. David Price - 26 October 2019
Price should give everything he has early. If he can land something clean, he might walk away with a great win.

Nail on the head. Out boxing Dave Allen really means nothing above Area level - ability is improved via twitter activity!Old bones Ian wrote: ↑08 Oct 2019, 14:57 Every time Price fights people go on about his power, he hasn't actually knocked out a decent boxer since 2012 , Allen retired but Price didn't really put a dent in him , just wore him down.

One sub European standard veteran vs one sub British level veteran. Nowt wrong with it especially but I don’t really see the appeal myself
Re: Derek Chisora vs. David Price - 26 October 2019
I may as well have typed what you just said. my thoughts entirely. Price will enter the ring scared and then will revert to his default setting. gun shy and will gas after 4 due to his nervous energy being expended.MasterG wrote: ↑08 Oct 2019, 08:31 It's not a great surprise that Price has filled the spot. As I've said previously Chisora is proberly 2 wins away from a big show down so this fight makes sense for him.
As for Price it's a big step forward and a decent pay day to add to his retirement fund. As much as I want Price to win this I can't see it happening. I can't think of a way Price can beat Chisora. For me chisora plays it safe for 4 or 5 rounds until Price gets tired then knocks him out.
Chisora isn't a Dave Allen looking to be hit all night and Del boy has more of a boxing brain. I just can't make a story for Price I just cannot see him beating Del.
Chisora will then muller him like a rag doll. head on prices chest and wing away until the big man falls.
sad as i would like Price to win. If big dave gets stopped, lets hope he hangs em up once and for all. he should be getting good coin as a late replacement on a PPV show. maybe 150K?

2 rounds imo
Re: Derek Chisora vs. David Price - 26 October 2019
As replacement fights go, Eddie Hearn has made a good job of it.
In Britain this fight could top the bill in a decent sized venue, so my view is just enjoy it for what is...and it might be a reasonable bout, or even an exciting fight.
As long as Chisora is up for this and works his way inside with vigour, he should stop Price, but I would expect David to put up as much resistance as he can manage until he gets nailed.

If Del Boy is up for it and comes out aggressive, he can end it very early.
Will the so called Price elite power actually be seen? It would be nice

This is going to be decisive at every blow, knowing it is the last chance for both guys. I am going with Price, having this feeling of him using his reach and not going shy with haymakers. Also, Chisora is cracked

Price by brutal first round KO.

Price couldn't stand up in a 15 mph wind!
Add in the fact that he will probably try and blast Chisora out will play right into Dereck's hands.
Chisora by TKO.

Price is so gun shy now it’s a border line non-event. Chisora is done but Price isn’t good enough to take advantage
