He kept goading him, and there are just some guys who will resort to violence even when surrounded by people in a public place. Exactly. She's very talented, but the behavior of those around her (along with her own actions -- cheering the sucker punch of another fighter chief among them) make it a questionable investment for Showtime. No one really cares about how good she is and she's not much of a role model to point at (as Showtime attempted to initially portray her as), so why take the time to put her on the air?

At least with Mayweather -- people cared about watching him (either loving or hating him). Shields is barely able to prompt a "meh" response from actual boxing fans, much less the casual observer.
