Spence in serious condition
Errol Spence was involved in a 1 car accident over night in Dallas. He is listed in serious condition.
No other news yet. Just saw it on the local news

Oh man noooooo. I hope he gets better. Shades of Paul Williams, Salvador Sanchez, Diego Corrales. Too much work to be done. Hope he’s alright. Let’s go champ!
I hope we don’t find out he was driving drunk. I’d still feel horrible either way. Gotdamn.

Damn sad to hear.
Reckless speeding it seems.

Driving without wearing seatbelt and speeding. i wouldn't be shocked to hear he probably was drunk too.

Driving without a seatbelt, while speeding.
He was thrown from the flipped car.
It doesn't look good

Dude this makes me sick.
Damn such a talented young man
Re: Spence in serious condition
Talented but dumb and careless.
Re: Spence in serious condition
From the look of that wreck , he is probably lucky he was'nt wearing a belt and got flipped out , at least he was'nt in a couple of ton washing machine .
Re: Spence in serious condition
Nah. Just the usual youthful exuberance.
Usain Bolt in his younger days was in a crash where his car flipped and rolled because of reckless speeding too.
Cristiano Ronaldo too i believe. They were fortunate to not have serious injuries. i hope it will be the same for EJ.

Who hasn't done stupid crap?
At some point we all think we are 10 foot tall and bulletproof.
Reality then sets in. Spence I'm sure learned this

There are degrees to youthful exuberance. With his wealth and position he simply must be of better judgment.

Re: Spence in serious condition
Apparently Spence Jr. is “in intensive care, but expected to survive.”
That doesn’t sound good!
It’s only speculation on my part, but this statement compels me to believe Errol’s career might have either ended (due to suffering a life-changing injury) or he’s in such bad shape that it could force him to endure a lengthy layoff (due to rehabilitation).
Even if he eventually makes a return to the ring, he might never return to the force he once was.
I hope I’m wrong and being overly-melodramatic!

Re: Spence in serious condition
Sad, but it sounded totally avoidable. High speed without a seatbelt?
The chances some people take while driving have always boggled my mind. I hate driving.

I hope he recovers but good lord do I hate reckless drivers. You're not just risking your own health but everyone else's on the road as well.

Re: Spence in serious condition
Spence is like 30 years old, he's not really a youth. He should have obviously known better...dangerous driving puts the driver and others at risk.
Hopefully his injuries do not permanently impact him. Best wishes to the champ

Yeah, being young and dumb isn't a good excuse. And he's not that young, he's old enough to know better. I can't stand it when these amazing athletes throw it all away like this. Spence was going to be an ATG.
