Re: Spence in serious condition
Just goes to show that what they always say about the danger of a boxing or cage match compared to driving to the venue is true. Even when people are not completely reckless while driving...like Spence was....other people...like Spence are. Automobile travel is a crap shoot every time you get into a vehicle. Hopefully Spence recovers at least enough to live a relatively normal life. Hopefully he has learned a lesson about reckless driving. Him getting hurt is his own fault and one thing....quite another is that he was putting everybody else on the road in danger too. Luckily he did not hurt any innocent people.

No!! No no NO!!
Re: Spence in serious condition
It will be disappointing, if such a talent will be wasted. Who knows, how long it will take him to recover, if he recovers enough to continue his career. Hopefully everything will be ok.

Brings back memories of Paul. Damn
Re: Spence in serious condition
We are talking about a top 3 p4p fighter who possibly hasnt even entered his prime yet. This would be absolutely tragic if he cant fight again.

I am an optimist but looking at the damage on the car and the details emerging doesn't look for EJ

Joking of course. Just want to see who gets triggered. I pray Spence is ok.

Yeah. Paul has got to be one of the most positive human beings I’ve ever witnessed.
Re: Spence in serious condition
What sucks even worse about this stuff is Paul Williams and Errol Spence are both really good guys. There arent many of them in boxing.

He was probably my last 'favorite' fighter where I was actually emotionally involved in his fights. Really great guy, always willing to give up his time. The first time I talked to him was through max boxing and the head of the forum told him I was the only poster demanding he would win(place was bumping then) and he said he hoped I made a lot of money. Unfortunately Vegas paid attention to that one and he was the favorite, but I still did well. Errol and bud are my two favs now and Spence is equally accommodating and cool.Impractical Poster wrote: ↑10 Oct 2019, 12:49Yeah. Are you talking about the Margarito fight or the Quintana rematch?Onetimeonly wrote: ↑10 Oct 2019, 12:53He was probably my last 'favorite' fighter where I was actually emotionally involved in his fights. That's what happens when money is given to some child
This is good reason why DANA WHITE undertand and pays his fighers reasonably.

I loved that fight. Maybe it’s just my perception, but I don’t feel Paul really got enough credit for that win. That fight was right in the middle of Margarito’s tear. Paul most likely beat a cheating Margarito over 12 rounds. Very impressive win.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑10 Oct 2019, 13:05My bad, Margarito.Impractical Poster wrote: ↑10 Oct 2019, 12:56

Re: Spence in serious condition
Seconds out reports Spence's condition changed from serious to critical. No details on injuries.

He definitely doesn't. It got closer to some as years went by too. Extremely clear win.Impractical Poster wrote: ↑10 Oct 2019, 13:11I loved that fight. Critical is worse. Still expected to survive.

That sucks (not that he's expected to survive--that in itself sounds like a miracle given those photos and that he was ejected)
