Billy Joe Saunders vs Marcelo Coceres for November 9? Another spectacular opponent for BJS?! lol

I was waiting to see BJS vs Callum , Eubank Jr or Caleb Plant but he is continuing his 'bum steak'. BJS is cruising through bums trying to keep his '0' intact so maybe he could get a big fight with Canelo. :verysad:

Well if today's fight game is any indication having name recognition, and an unbeaten record WILL eventually get you a big fight. So you almost can't blame him.

I certainly miss the guys that legitimately earn their major fights, but I guess in some ways you could argue he already has, and he's just coasting trying to get his big fight.

It's whatever to me as I don't particularly care to see him in any big fights anyway, but I'm sure we will at some point.

You’ve actually commented on threads about Callum Smith admitting to turning down a seven-digit offer to face Billy Joe Saunders! :brick:

Anyway, let me remind you of a discussion we've already had on numerous occasions, where I’ve previously provided proof to support my stance…

There was a time when GGG was on the outside, perceived as being a high-risk/low-reward paper champ looking for a decent payday against an established star. And Saunders is currently in the same position.

The Brit tried to make fights with the likes of Canelo, Golovkin (twice), Callum Smith etc. and none of those guys would face him. The representatives for all those big-names openly admitted to turning down opportunities to face Saunders. And the vast majority of the members of this forum have seen videos of those individuals conceding that they'd rejected fights against Billy Joe!

There are other guys that have previously and openly admitted to rejecting opportunities to face Billy Joe and they include the likes of Demetrius Andrade, David Lemieux and Chris Eubank Jr.

Saunders already had a fight lined-up to face James DeGale, but his MSAC suspension scuppered that bout. He also agreed to face Avtandil Khurtsidze (a fighter he was expected to lose against and was accused of ducking), but the Georgian then withdrew from the fight.

And one of the main problems is that every single one of Saunders’ critics are abundantly aware of these facts, yet they still criticise him!

Like I’ve said before, if Billy Joe Saunders ends up engaging in multiple disappointing WBO title defences against lacklustre opposition, it won’t be because he’s unwilling to face anyone half-decent!

At least he is fighting somebody.

I do think some fights will be made if they can get the right money for it. For me this is all about the business side of things and has nothing to do ducking.

I do think Smith-BJS would be great. Hope they can make it down the road. It comes down to if they can sell it and the risk is worth the money for Smith and his team.

He lost his pen. He's fighting bums to keep his 0 safe. lol BJS, Andrade and Charlo should mix each other. They took the Sven Ottke's route. They have no marquee fights on their resume. Golovkin had to risk his 0 against Jacobs before he got Canelo x2. :OhYes: :TU:

At the end of the day even Canelo had to fight Lara and Trout before he became the man in boxing.

How dare BJS not fight good world class fighters every single fight! :TU: Have any of his critcs even looked at BJS's record... He's fought some pretty good fighters.

I also believe he'd be too slick for Smith.

No one was avoided as much as GGG. If BJS wants to get a big name he needs to fight a possible dangerous low reward type of fighter like Andrade or Callum Smith. A fight with Jacobs would be very good too.

You know I’ve already answered that question in this thread and several others, coupled with providing evidence you keep ignoring.

We’ve had this discussion so often that I’m convinced you’re either illiterate or simply trolling.

To be fair, I cannot think of any other reason someone would stubbornly keep ignoring easily accessible information.

Really? Lemuiex, Munroe Jnr, Eubank Jnr... "bums"... :maybe:

Anyone that wants to see a boxing masterclass on beating a true power puncher needs to watch the BJS vs Lemuiex fight... Which was his best win imo.

Andy Lee was BJS's best win imo. Lemieux was already TKO'd by GGG, Eubank Jr was too crude and Monroe Jr was TKO'd by GGG too. Let's say Lemieux and Eubank Jr were decent wins.

What GGG did to these fighters previous to BJS is irrelevant. This isn't about somehow comparing BJS to GGG at all. It's about BJS beating everyone that is put in front of him, with some more than handy fights being his victims, rather than just "bums" as some have stated, which is ridiculous.

On the topic of comparing them though, I've always believed that a fit BJS beats GGG. After seeing the Sergiy Derevyanchenko fight, I think BJS would box the ears of the current GGG.

Andy Lee was BJS's best win imo. Lemieux was already TKO'd by GGG, Eubank Jr was too crude and Monroe Jr was TKO'd by GGG too. Let's say Lemieux and Eubank Jr were decent wins.

Problem is the most recent of those good wins was 2 years ago, Eubank Jr was almost 5 years ago...

The Who Needs em club is closely affiliated with the What have you done recently club, and BJS is in both... A lot like Andrade...

Going through solid top 10-15 type guys fight after fight forces fights, being inactive and fighting top 50 type makes it very easy to be ignored.

Saunders is wasting his prime years with all that inactivity, lesser opposition. He should have changed something long time ago.

Yup. Some people act like BJS was beating some 'beasts' some years ago and now he is so avoided bc of that. lol

He's waiting to cash in vs Canelo but the truth is BJS is unknown even in UK. Not in the same league with Fury, AJ, Khan or Brook. Eubank Jr is more known in UK, mostly bc of Sr.
