Having not applied for a proper license I wonder who he feels is discriminating against him?

FFS yes, you are being discriminated against because of your age, because, ya know, science and all that boring stuff has proven it is medically more dangerous to be fighting and taking blows to the head from a trained fighter at an older age.

It will be interesting to see who out of Nigel Benn and Anthony Joshua figures out faster that they don’t want be in a boxing ring anymore. I reckon it will take about 4 rounds in each case.

Richie Woodhall made a very good point. Woodhall himself still trains keeps in shape hits the bag etc but stated that the body goes soft after so long without fighting regardless of how fit you are. Benn seems to think he’s picking up where he left off, it’s complete fckin madness.

If this fight is real and not a set up he won’t last 2 or 3 rounds. Hope it doesn’t happen but part of me does just to see what kind of farce it’s gonna be. And hopefully it puts others off making these bullsh1t comebacks.

My god, he is totally fornicating delusional, he truly seems to believe he's fitter and better now than over 20 years ago!

This isn't fornicating crossfit, your fitness isn't the only issue.

What sort of closure does this provide, what does beating Bika prove anyway.?

I hope he is fitter and better than when he retired over 20 years ago coz as much as I liked Nigel he was a seriously shot fighter back then if he thinks time will make him better he is deluded I just hope he doesn’t get hurt

Where Nigel lives in Australia does actually have quite a high cost of living. Food for example is around twice as expensive as in the UK. And certainly in terms of retirement people are expected to live off their assets a lot more with lots of means testing for pensions, and often people usually downsize in housing. I’m sure this is really all about getting the retirement nest egg sorted out. Presumably Bika is under very strict orders to go easy.

I don't know, he sounds pretty adamant there. Nigel was always a very emotional fighter, it always seemed there were some nagging feelings that fighting was a way of dealing with.

Agreed, he was very shop worn and seemed to have some neurological issues too, judging by his poor balance.

There were issues with his scans post mclellan, and now claims from defreitas that h were sustained a brain injury during his last fight. This is all extremely worrying.

Not sure but he’s not got a license from the BBBC, they have said they wouldn’t issue him one.

He has a BIBA licence mind you most of their licence holders are ex bbbofc licence holders who have had their licence withdrawn or applied for a licence but were refused a licence on medical grounds or criminal records etc

He's already suffering memory loss, he must have forgotten what happened in his last 3 fights and 23 years later what does he reckon he has to offer ?
Hope this is stopped for his own sake

I think older fight fans 50+ might be keen on it, and i sincerely hope they enjoy it.

However, Bika is a tough, wild and dirty bastard - and i forecast Benn will get headbutted and it will be stopped.

Benn will not scratch that itch against Sakio Bika.

Bad match up unless he's being paid off.
