Floyd struggled in a similar fashion with Castillo. Pryor was a better pressure fighter than Castillo.

Old Floyd is much tighter than the 135 version. Then even though he came through, Agustus at 130 and Jesus Chavez at 135 made him fight. Pryor is 2X what those two are together.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑16 Oct 2019, 09:52Castillo was much tighter than Pryor. That's certainly a better example.![]()

IMO relentless pressure Pryor and his punching power would be a problem for Floyd. He hit harder and better boxer than Castillo who gave Floyd toughest fight in Mayweather's career.
My pick - Floyd by close unanimous or split decision.

I don't know that he hit harder than Castillo, but he was definitely faster. He would cause plenty of trouble for Floyd but I imagine may weather would drop him a few times with counters for a clear, but tough decision.

Easy night for Floyd Pryor was way to wild to beat Floyd

I was about to chime in with this sentiment almost word for word.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑16 Oct 2019, 10:45 I don't know that he hit harder than Castillo, but he was definitely faster. I pretty much agree with you that I figure Floyd would have his issues, but would ultimately edge him via narrow decision. Not sure if he'd drop him with the counters or not, but it's not out of the question. Either way I suspect most of Floyd's troubles in this fight would come in the earlier portions of the bout, as he has more time to see Pryor, and what he's bringing to the table he probably controls the fight more and more as it goes on.

Aaron was dropped a lot, more balance than being hurt.gilgamesh wrote: ↑18 Oct 2019, 09:10I was about to chime in with this sentiment almost word for word.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑16 Oct 2019, 10:45 I don't know that he hit harder than Castillo, but he was definitely faster. True, and Floyd does have excellent timing with his counters so yeah you're probably right he could get at least 1 of them balance knockdowns on him somewhere in there.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑18 Oct 2019, 09:11Aaron was dropped a lot, more balance than being hurt.gilgamesh wrote: ↑18 Oct 2019, 09:10
