USYK needs to move back down to CW

Post by Boxtune »

F$£K old, ordinary 38 jaz witherspoon who lost in his prime to Seth Mitchell ( he has traveled to Mars forever) make USYK look like ordinarily fighter. Do you want to be milked by eddie hearn ?

And what was so ordinary about Usyk? Completely dominating an opponent? Well, yeah, that's ordinary for Usyk, he always did that.

USYK has no power behind his punches, he should taken out a shot fighter like witherspoon in less than 3 rounds. Witherspoon is no slicky kevin johnson.

He might win fights solely because of his stamina and fastness but he is not a killer and not really that exciting to watch him.

Usyk doesn't start fast. That's his style.

Too early to talk about him and Pulev. I'm sure pulev love the money fight.

Pulev doesn't have to worry anything about power and long jab and clinching klitchko had mastered, against USYK. I say again, pulev loves USYK money fight, but not before his IBF shot.

Usyk wouldn't have anything to worry about with pulev. The only top guy he could compete with is Ruiz.

He’ll grow in to it.

I think against the top guys he’ll adopt a more cautious approach and look to constantly counter. He’ll be interesting to watch and talent wise he’s clearly the best heavyweight there but he’s not really a modern day heavyweight.

I though it was pretty obvious he was just getting rounds in after an injury/lay off :maybe:
Ya can't judge anything from that fight other than his bicep seems healed.

What concerns me about Usyk is not this fight, Its Bellew landing alot of clean punches. Heavyweight division is alot different than other divisions.

Usyk would have moved up regardless of Hearn signing him..

Also, it always sounds as though no one has seen Usyk fight before every time he fights.

He might not have Wilder power, but neither has Fury.. and he’s turned out fine.

Usyk has all the attributes apart from maybe just the one.

Lol, yes. And that is true of most critics read elsewhere- "not impressed" because he didn't KO his opponent in 2. That was the gist of the fight commentary as well. Seems nearly impossible to be that uninformed when everybody's fights are one search away.

For a heavyweight debut, they handpicked the perfect opponent for Usyk. Every time Witherspoon has stepped up he has lost in the past. (Arreola, Thompson, Mitchell) His last 9 or 10 opponents have about 70 losses.

That said he got through Witherspoon without struggling and that is what the debut is meant to be. I don't see it as good or bad, just a solid debut vs a hand picked opponent. It will be interesting to see him vs someone good. I would have much rather saw him fight Takam. Not sure what happened to that.

Ruiz is overrated, because so much people was in love in Joshua. Either of them has to face pulev, as this time bob arum behind it forcing it

Agreed, that's why a pedestrian fighter like kubrat wouldn't be out of his element against Andy. At some point you're going to have to acknowledge that pulev sucks.
