Fancy Davies for this one. Ritson was a good lightweight and highly touted, Smith, Hearn and co overhyping him didn’t help.

Davies should outbox him could be a decent tilt.

The beef in this fight is comical. Ritson should really ramp it up and give him a wet willy and a wedgie.

No idea really but got a feeling Ritson might upset the odds ( assume the scouser is a slight fav ) ~ get riled enough by the sarky insults coming from Davies, up his game and box to a UD.

Then he had a good nights kip and still got beat. It's a non story. Ritson was a deserved winner.
Scott Fitzgerald was in the same hotel and he won his fight.

So, somebody did set off the fire alarm at 3 am?

Davies must have spoken to some Geordie mystic Meg who had a premonition that this would happen and told him to change hotels the night before.

It's one of the oldest tricks in the book, doesn't mean Ritsons team did it. It happens in football regularly.

Yesterday morning, Davies manager tweeted that he was warned that somebody connected to Ritson was going to set off the fire alarm at 2:45 am so they moved Davies to a different hotel.

At 2:45 am somebody set off the fire alarm in the original hotel.

I am just stating facts.

And he still got beat. It's a nothing story and is made to look like whinging when you lose the fight after all the hype about what you were going to do to he other man. Ritson and his team have conducted themselves fine throughout this build up and afterwards.

Had Ritson winning it 115-113, but what a showdown of stamina and constant assault. Barrios or whoever, is going to suffer Ritson. Props to both guys.

Fair play to him. I thought he was gonna do a Cheeseman when he bolted from the ring after the decision was read out.

These 2 did the opposite. raised each other’s hands, stood side by side in interviews. All the bad blood was just a build up and we got a great fight. We may have had bad blood to begin with, but we got mad respect at the end, which is always great to see.

The beef/bad blood was so obviously and laughably contrived. I think part of the reason it was so blatantly fake is because neither is really 'that guy'

It's the cheap and easy default promotional angle
