( looks like 37 year old Sugar Ray Robinson may have actually out Gene Kellyi-n Gene Kelly !)

here is at age 45 yrs in a couple of clips from his appearance as "Duke Smith"in an episode of RUN FOR YOUR LIFE-aired 28.November 1966.

At age 47 years he also appeared in the 1968 movie PAPER LION ( movie based on the writer George Plimpton)
his scenes are inte-rcut in the film at 2:42 -9:40 -11;27 -12:17 i this clip.

Best pic of SRR ever, all the rest are just boxing pics, this one says all who he was! He was a great fighter but he was even better at just being 'sweet sugar'.

He can be seen in TONY ROME (1967)
at the Fifth Street Gym
( along with Levi Forte and Carl Starling
Rocky Graziano is also in the movie.

Sugar Ray Robinson was in an off the wall movie Candy (1968). It starred Ewa Aulin. It was an all star cast featuring Ringo Starr John Astin Walter Matthau James Coburn Marlon Brando really a strange film. It reminds one of Barbarella 1967 with Jane Fonda.

I remember watching Land of the Giants 30+ years ago and there pops up SRR. Couldn't believe my eyes :o
