IBF and 'Not Rated'
IBF and 'Not Rated'
Can anyone enlighten me as to why so many #1 and #2 positions, across all weight classes, are 'Not Rated' in IBF rankings?
Is it about politics or money?
Not being a smart arse here, I really don't know

Way of keeping guys lower in the ratings and therefore further away from mandatory shots? I dunno

You generally have to earn those spots in the IBF by way of an elimanator. Pretty simple.
Re: IBF and 'Not Rated'
silly. If those spots are 'empty' everyone should simply move up. It's a stupid process.world ranked wrote: ↑21 Oct 2019, 20:06 You generally have to earn those spots in the IBF by way of an elimanator. Pretty simple.

Re: IBF and 'Not Rated'
If two ranked fighters face each other and the higher ranked fighter wins, he moves up, and if the lower ranked fighter wins, the fighters switch spots in the rankings, etc. I'm sorry you cannot comprehend that. Tell me where an empty slot comes into play genius.

I agree oog.
You can have a number 1 contenders that still needs a fight to become mandatory.
But there has to be a number 1 and 2

Because, like all ABC orgs, they're corrupt, stupid, and all round worthless.
Any deeper investigation into this phenomenon is just a waste of everyone's time.

I guess in theory it is to prevents
people climbing to the top by avoiding their peers and beating a lot of top 100-40 fighters

Exactly. Most mandatories hardly do anything to earn the mandatory status..oogiebe wrote: ↑21 Oct 2019, 20:22LOL! Oh, so now each ranking spot is reserved. Based on what? IBF can be the worrst. Derewv lost his world title opportunity, come back, beats Jack Fkn Culkay and is mandatory again..
Same crap with Kid Galahad, he just lost a world title shot, and now he's in a final eliminator AGAIN!
