Claressa Shields vs Ivana Habazin

Post by handsofstone »

Just noticed B/Nation have picked up this card for Saturday, sorry but girls boxing just doesn't do it for me, its hard enough to keep up with the mens boxing, the depths just not there but there has been some cracking fights recently so fair dos, Shields is aiming to become a 3 weight champ I believe

The reason I'm posting there's a couple of unbeatens on the undercard, Heavyweight Jermaine Franklin who's looked crap from what ive seen but Welterweight Jaron Ennis is on the card, he's 23-0 with 21 KOs, ive seen him a few times and he looks a cert to pick up at least 1 world title, he's still to fight anyone of note but I'm calling it :bag:

Ya Ennis looks the business. One of these guys who has skills and athletics, but also looks to have a mean aggressive streak.

I would watch Shields against Savannah Marshall. and KT next fight other than that wouldn't go out my way.

Jaron Ennis stopped Demian Fernandez in the 3rd in the main event after Shields fight was binned, looked good again did Ennis, lightening quick, sharp, switch hitting and whipping in some dangerous shots to head and body, he was a bit wild at times and strayed low a few times especially in the 1st but he settled down and outclassed Fernandez in all areas, Fernandez had the ear muffs on and spent most of the fight in a shell covering up on the ropes, Ennis blasted him down in a corner in the 3rd with punches upstairs and down, Fernandez looked spent and barely made the count, it was clear he wanted out but the ref was a bit lenient with his count and sent him back out, Fernandez quit almost immediately after citing an injured eye

Ennis looks a bit tasty but he needs better guys than Fernandez to improve

I wasn’t impressed with the heavyweight Jermaine Franklin. I can’t imagine him going too much further.
Fair play to Pavel Sour, he gave it a go but any decent prospect would have got him out there.

That's about 4 times I've seen Franklin now and I've yet to be impressed

He's very poor is Franklin. Lost to a journeyman in his previous fight but got the decision.

She pulls the racism and sexism card all the time. People got after her for cheering Uzcategui being sucker punched be her 'unc', and she did the same.
