Pretty much how I see it, isn’t a man on this planet that Wilder isn’t capable of putting to sleep if he can land his best shot, absolutely freakish power

All punchers run out of road eventually. That one hand one trick will only last so long. Will it be Usyk? Who knows? But Wilder will most certainly lose to a boxer if he continues much further. He's already 34.

I've been hearing that for years now. When will he run out of road? He's been in with some good boxers and still has his 0 after 11-12 years. Hard to stay unbeaten as a heavy even against tomato cans. Everyone he's fought has hit the canvas, and Usyk probably wouldn't be an exception. Briedis fought even with him, so he can be beat as well. Line them up, I would love to see it.sturm vogel wrote: ↑24 Oct 2019, 08:36 All punchers run out of road eventually. Nothing freakish really, he just loads up massively.

I agree with Loma and everyone else - Usyk DOES school Wilder until/unless he gets hit.
He'll probably school him MORE than Fury did, but then be (a lot) less able to climb off the canvas.
Wilder pulling out a KO10 while 8-9 rounds behind, seems the logical pick.

I keep hearing he will lose. But you are right he keeps winning.Bandog wrote: ↑25 Oct 2019, 09:37I've been hearing that for years now. When will he run out of road? To be honest, other than Fury and Ortiz, he hasn't had the most challenging of battles. But he's 34 now, and time marches on. His is short. Just the way it is when you have only one way to win.Bandog wrote: ↑25 Oct 2019, 09:37I've been hearing that for years now. When will he run out of road? It's not even like the WBC rankings have been devoid of talent, either. Just his chosen opponents have been depressing, but I'm glad he stepped up against Ortizsturm vogel wrote: ↑25 Oct 2019, 21:17To be honest, other than Fury and Ortiz, he hasn't had the most challenging of battles. But the guy can hit! Even if Wilder does load up on his shots, I think his athleticism along with his stamina means it only takes one lapse in concentration from his opponents and they go down.
I think it will take a blend of skill, experience and elite stamina to maintain the needed level of concentration for the whole 12. Which seem to be Usyks strengths...

Anyone think that despite his relative lack of pop, the countering skills, timing and ability to land might, just might see Usyk take Wilder out?
Wilder hasn’t proved much of a chin yet. Ortiz had him wobbling and he’s not a proven banger by any means. Fury didn’t dent him but then Fury is powder puff when it comes to power.

Well, Ortiz has KO'd 11 out of his last 13 opponents, so I think he has as good of power as any heavy, and arguably top 3 in the skill department. There is a reason why most of the top heavyweights have not wanted to fight him.lillywhite14 wrote: ↑26 Oct 2019, 02:49 Anyone think that despite his relative lack of pop, the countering skills, timing and ability to land might, just might see Usyk take Wilder out?

A lot like Wilder losing, I keep hearing he has got a glass chin, but think it is more of people hoping he has one instead of reality. Most all heavyweights have good power, and with the poor chin, poor skills, and skinny legs that Wilder has, one would think someone would have KO'd and exposed him by now.
Usyk is a southpaw, so he, like Ortiz won't be at the top of the list for any top heavy's to fight unless the money is right. All I will say is that he could beat Wilder if his chin holds up.
