Louis/Schmeling II: Must've watched it 100 times.

Didn't McCullough suffer a very serious brain bleed shortly after the Hamed fight? Not sure any sorta moral victory is worth all that.

Nope.....you must be confusing him with someone else because he fought on in sanctioned fights for a good while longer.

Wayne fought very bravely indeed that night and like the proud champion he had been, I just really appreciated the way he kept Hamed honest and not able to be a total bell-end even though he was being outgunned.

That right hand he puts into Schmelings kidney area, it looks like his fist disappears entirely into Schmelings body, the expression of agony on Schmelings face and the palpable wincing folding of his body is excruciating to watch, probably as visible an expression of pain as I have seen in the ring, utterly chilling, Louis was terrifying

He looked just as devastating against Ken Norton more or less. Not 6 knockdowns, but he wiped him out in 2, and looked like a monster.

I have to say Holmes-Cobb was a pretty good fight too for a one sided 15 round fight, and Holmes-Frank was fun too, Scotty tried his hardest but Larry Holmes was a monster then, no heavyweight except Tim Witherspoon stood a chance with him at that era.
