Audley needs a confidence builder, at least he is getting back in the ring quickly.

Th guy has fought decent opponents(always getting beat) but looks like fodder. Typical confidence rebuilding job if you ask me. Thing is though it really wouldn't surprise me if he beats Audley.

Why would Audley not fight a bum? Owen Beck is living proof that a weak fighter with half the name of Audley Harrison can get a title shot after looking like shit and beating a bum. I bet he's closer now to a title shot than he would be if he had beat both Williams and Guinn. That's how the division works these days.

I just read about the fight on secondsout.com.
Every article about Audley on secondsout.com is just jam-packed with put-downs.
It's really quite funny, on par with fan sentiment i'd say.

It's no more than he deserves.

I could have made £3million + pounds out of boxing as I am lazy, have poor stamina (for boxing  ) & am scared to get hit! :o

I love boxing, because I see boxers as people greater than so-called normal people. They go into the ring, knowing that they almost certainly will feel pain & they are willing to accept that in the pursuit of glory.

Audley Harrison does not fall into that category; that is why I am so scathing of him.

Confidence building fight indeed although if possible a step down from Mike Middleton :S. At least he is with a more proffesional team now and if he gets it together then we can look forward to better showings from him in the big fight. Also lets hope the guy stays active.

I feel no malise toward Harrison cos I recon the guy did try bnut had difficulties in the big fight, not unknown he still has talent and he is still british and won a gold medal for britain. If he wants to make money for himself all the while good luck to him.

Terence, I've not seen too many of your posts... but I'm happy to assume you're gleefully taking the piss.

... Or are you, somehow, serious?

Harrison will keep getting fights as long as he wants them, he has a recognisable name. All he has to do is push over a few more cruisers and he can get a title shot for a large sum of money, sad, but true.

That's sad to read but very true.

Who can blame Audley if he wants to make money knocking out bums. Easy work if you can get it no matter how wrong it is.
