It plays out like this, Chisora comes in uninspired and plods his way through the fight, missing with his swings, Price stays focused and jabs his way to victory, easy peasy!
I'm not one for ridiculing bad prediction because we all have them, but this was a right fvcking stinker.
Ha ha I know ! Then again I did back Harrison to beat Haye so I’ve got form !

It's all very well having a gameplan which means you watch your defence and don't commit for a few rounds if you have a weak chin, but when everything going through your mind is your going to get caught - then you will get caught! This is because that thought process makes every move fractionally slower.
It's easy for me to say but what Price had to do last night to have any chance was to just go for it from the first bell. Grit his teeth use his height , weight and apparent punch power and simply get steamed in! A few painful nips on his arms and a slap on the cheek from his team just to wind him up would also have helped.

Price looked like he was just gonna look to cover and maybe get that big punch on a counter and win by k.o were as chisora was just "i dont give a sh1t what he throws at me cause when i land he is getting k.oed". Chisora was just relentless and price needs to hang them up now,its not like chisora hit him very hard,it a short inside shot which 9 out of 10 heavyweight would of took it ans carried on as normal,i like price he is a good guy and maybe he just doesnt have that nasty streak to be a top top heavyweight.

The three things that stick in my mind about Price's professional career are...

* Tyson Fury blatantly ducking him and dropping the British and Commonwealth titles rather than face him.

* The optimistic/terrible matchmaking that saw him go from an ancient Matt Skelton to world level o Tony Thompson in one easy jump. It's like going from the inside lane on the fast lane without checking your mirrors first. Thompson was a world level operator and was also the two words that matchmakers should always fear.... rangy southpaw.

* The look of fear on his face before the Erkan Teper fight.

Looking at the fight last night and how the last 2 performances of David Price panned out its almost like 2 different boxers. Price easily dispatched of Dave Allen and showed some boxing skill, but last night its almost the Price we see more often. Price didnt have a clue how to fight him and it was almost like he actually didnt know how to box. He didnt have a plan at all except hold for dear life. Chisora could have fought all night like that and would have certainly lasted the 12 rounds better than David.

I really dont know what Prices strategy was? Its almost like he knows he is going to get knocked out. Price didnt even give it a go last night. He could have come out swinging and got koed in the first it would have been better than hanging and holding for 4 rounds.

Dave goes from one extreme to the other, he fights an area level fighter then goes back to the fringe of the world rather than fighting area levels then trying for something a bit simpler like the English. It was a great stoppage last night from his corner they did the right thing but this will not stop David from carrying on. I can see him coming back fighting an area level boxer again and getting a win. But where that takes him hell knows.

Realistically he needs to jack it in but he will be back next year.

He just let Chisora walk straight inside his reach advantage without trying to keep him off at all. Time after time.

It was baffling really

The difference between last night and prices last fight were the level of opposition. Chisora is fringe world and Allen is British. Thats the difference

I really don’t understand why anyone is even remotely surprised about how last night went for Price. Ever since his first loss he’s looked good against also rans (Dave Allan, realistically, falls into this category) however as soon as he’s in a fight where he feels threatened he goes completely into his shell, and ends up knackered through what seems like nervous energy after a couple of rounds. It’s an incredibly cruel thing to say about any boxer but his bottle is completely gone when he’s standing in the ring against anyone who is on a similar level or above him.

Seems a top bloke and has had a career most would be envious of - international amateur, Olympic bronze, British and Commonwealth champion but it has clearly been time to chap it on the head for a long time now.

Plenty have a soft spot for him and so understandably wish him to do well but the way his fight unfolded last night was obvious to anyone whose watched his career and isn’t emotionally invested on some level.

Dave Allen is not British title level. Theres no evidence for that whatsoever.

To be honest Chisora is more like Euro level as well but accept that he’ll probably get a WBO shot soon. Not a chance of him winning it through

If I had his physical attributes I guarantee the boogey man or Freddy Kruger would even have nightmares about me and want to stay well away, I just don’t get it I really don’t, where’s his pride, it’s like he doesn’t understand that if he goes out all guns blazing and decides, Fuk it, your having it, he won’t get hit back no harder or come off any worse, he’s just got not heart what so ever, he does the bravest thing by even getting in the ring and taking part in the first place, and then does that time and time again

I have to agree, all this PPV is becoming a joke. Last nights card just wasnt good enough for me to shell out my pension money on it. Dont get me wrong I get more pension than a lot of people get wages but I want value for money and Eddie will have to do better to gain my interest. I will pay for the Ruiz v Joshua fight but thats all. I have been a boxing fan since the late 1950s and todays era is not one of the best.

They needed it to be a PPV to pay purses.

God knows how much Sky are even paying Matchroom on their deal, but a lot of boxers now want millions and the only way to get certain good fights is to have it on PPV..

B0llocks. What good fights were even on the show? Taylor v Prog, which was the final of the WBSS and nothing to do with Sky, and that’s it. Sky just taking any opportunity to rinse people.

He has too much respect for chisora and it was like he didnt wanna let any bombs go incase he upset chisora, its a god damn fight and he was holding back and this is why he should hang up his gloves. Well done to joe mcnally for throwing the towel in,good to see a proper corner who respects and cares about his mate and fighter,he didnt wanna see price laying flat waiting for the oxygen mask.

One more thing is price was training for a fight in 4 weeks so although he was in training he probably wasnt even fit so he took this fight for the pay and not to enhance his career,he onew he was going to be a lamb to slaugter.

No point crying about ppv of you all pay for it or go to a mates to watch it,all dont pay and sky will have to rethink but that will never happen cause ppl still pay. I remember watching floyd for free one month then seeing degale vs groves on ppv? And people payed for that hahaha. De la hoya, mosley,Diego Corrales, cotto, floyd, wilder,Morales, Barrera all on normal sky then you pay for domestic cack its a joke.

seemed to me price never had the intensity in the build up and was quite nonchalent about the entire thing .
clearly he has little stamina / cardio so tired easily and as a result threw very few punches.
Kalle Saurland has said he should hang up the gloves .
Maybe he can compete at low level ie dave allen but not against fighters who are really hungry .
it was quite an embarressing end and as a result I wonder if price will come out with the " i dont want that to be my final fight " crap and try to stay in the picture.

Decent sparring partner for anyone who is fighting a tall / slow boxer .

Or the movement, the footwork, the inside work, the jab, the ring IQ, the reflexes, the balance... and dare I say he doesn't even have the power anymore. He really needs to hang them up. Chisora knew tonight he was just feasting on an overmatched opponent and boxed with a complete contempt for Price.
He was going pretty well about 6 years ago until Thompson knocked him out and he was a decorated amateur. He was always an accident waiting to happen at high pro level and yes he should pack it in now, in fact a should have retired some time ago

Fair play to Chisora. He is in great nick these days and showing some good consistent form. Unhinged but as game as anyone in boxing. Interesting to see what’s next for him.

The winner of the WBSS was to receive what?? $3m? WBSS organisers have failed to come up with funds recently, with no UK deal and paying boxers late..
I know there’s DAZN money too..

It’s like Whyte-Parker, their base purse was £1m each.. they wanted more, only way they get more is stick it on PPV and have the fans pay the rest of their purses. Sky ain’t forking out shït..

I don’t pay for PPV anyway so am not really bothered.. you don’t HAVE TO buy it..

But WBSS is nothing to do with Sky, if the organisers were having financial difficulties then it’s up to them to sort out. The fact that Sky weren’t even interested in covering the tournaments until they sniffed PPV opportunity says it all.

Regardless, every PPV that gets put on unnecessarily just takes boxing further and further away from the mainstream. That’s why boxing fans should be unhappy about it.

Price vs Nick Webb - two dangerous bangers meet in a true crossroads fight. Can Price maintain his status as the faded ex British champ or will Webb surge into the Area level title picture with a bang? Who can tell? Who would care? Worth £20 of anyone’s money!

The only fight Price should consider now is Fury, and that's a risk to his health because he might take more shots than usual. But he might also find it in himself to let his hands go against someone his own size who doesn't bang.

Everyone else just gets underneath him and he freezes. His only window of opportunity is that momentary state (at best) when he's hurt and fires back.
