Ive put this in CS as there are more Americans here who will possibly know more than in B&I.
Anyway. Does the Kronk Gym still churn out boxers or has the gym finished?
If so who are the boxers that are worth noting in the gym these days?
Kronk Gym
Re: Kronk Gym
Commenting because I’d like to know too. There’s still a 5th St gym in Miami and there’s still a Tocco’s gym in Vegas. Still a Gleason’s in NY. Would love to see Kronk live on as well
Re: Kronk Gym
thats a bloody shame. so many excellent world champions from Kronk over many years. Best Gym in the world imo in the 80s and 90s
Im actually surprised The Hitman didnt take over and make something of this famous institution.

Some homeless bum set fire to the place. Was once thought of as one of the toughest gyms in the world. When you went there to spar to had to expect a fight not a paddy-cake practice.

Re: Kronk Gym
Kronk is still kicking on a limited basis. A few years back they moved into a storefront on the Motor City's Westside and converted it to a small gym. Open for pros to train weekday afternoons and amateurs (8 years and up) on weekday evenings.

Several of their former world champs are now coaches/trainers, including Milton McCrory and Jonathan Banks.

Re: Kronk Gym
The real kronk is gone.
It would have been cool if Lewis or Wlad would have broken off a bit of their savings and restored it.

Re: Kronk Gym
was a great place. i have heard that Detroit boxing has really taken a nose dive like most great american cities.
