Would Blood's skill and chin derail Cooney?

Is this the Mitch Green who is best known for losing every round to prospect Tyson?

The only 3 losses in his pro career for Gerry Cooney were champions in Larry Holmes, Michael Spinks and George Foreman as he had never lost to contenders. Mitch "Blood" Green was a contender who lost to Mike Tyson and Trevor Berbick.

Gerry Cooney would bloody Mitch "Blood" Green with many right hands and his best punch a big left hook to knock Green out from 2 to 4 rounds.

Cooney is hated on for some reason.I also stated that his only losses were to great fighters.
He would hammer Green like a heavybag. What skills of Greens are you talking about? Running his mouth and getting his mouth blowed out? Cooney had the kind of power that wouldn't just have Green clinching his way to a loss but rather flopping around on the canvs on his way to going unconscious.

He went the distance because he foughtcto survive.Or actually didn't fight and just survived by holding. As powerful as Tyson was several fighters were able to negate him this way:Bonecrusher,Tillis,Tucker .But that wouldn't have worked with Cooney because unlike Tyson he didn't have overcome a height and reach disadvantage.Cooney would have hammered Green.

I don't know who would win this bout, but I'm certain it would end by KO. The big question is whether Cooney -- who was quite chinny -- could take Green's shots. Or at the very least, if Cooney could prevent Green from getting his punches off first. But I'm fairly certain that if Green could land cleanly on Cooney, then he would KO big Gerry.

On the other hand, if Cooney could succeed in unloading his big bombs immediately, in an early round offensive, Green would get run over like roadkill. Cooney was a "go or no-go" guy. A "kill or be killed" kind of fighter. The only variable with Cooney is whether he could land that big left hook early, to hurt his foe and take control. If the answer is yes, then Gerry stood a chance of beating anyone. If the answer is no, then Cooney tended to fall apart.

Most likely, the guy who established control in the opening round would go on to win the fight by stoppage. I don't which guy that would be. But this one would be over by the 6th or 7th round.
