This fight seems to have come real quick..

I feel like I just watch Kovalev-Yarde 2 weeks ago.

Kovalev hasn’t had long to prepare has a borderline drinking problem and Golden Boy will have everything in Canelos favour.

Horrible feeling KOV is looking at this like his cash out fight.
I see him going behind on the cards and looking for a way out mid-late rounds.
Staying down from a bodyshot.

Summit stinks with this fight. Canelos made a career out of fighting guys at the wrong end of their career and it’s continuing here.

Kovalev should have the size and power to destroy Alvarez but we all know that’s not gonna happen. It’s still an intriguing fight though.

Let’s not forget Canelo is about twenty levels above Yarde.

Aye Oscar will probably send a team of hookers to his hotel room on the eve of the fight to fist him. Mini bar door will be left open.....

Quite a quick return to the ring for Kovalev considering he only fought Yarde on the 24th August, about a two month gap.

No he isn't. There aren't that many levels, Yarde is also a much bigger stronger man.

The "40 days" snippets are quite good for this fight.

Surprised to see Kovalev taking a selfie of himself and Canelo when they met ! On the way hand it was refreshing to see the mutual respect and warmth between them, on the other hand it sends alarm bells ringing that Kov knows what's in store come fight night.

An Andre Ward interview made his view very clear that the days of "Krusher" are long gone and it's now about what "Sergey" has left. Ward acknowledged his power but didn't play on it much at all because he said it takes so much more than that in top tier boxing. And was unimpressed with Sergey's strength.

It get's me thinking can Kovalev keep Canello off of him for 12 rounds and ride out the storms like last time against Yarde :-? 12 rounds is a long time to keep the current version of Alverez at bay.

Ward lost many rounds to Kovalev, it wasn't just like Kov hurt him that once and that all Kov had was the power he showed in round 2 of the first fight. He's a fine boxer from outside as well. Alvarez also wasn't even stopping his world level opponents at 154 (it's a big jump to 175), though Kov does seem to be ragged these days and wonder how motivated he is for the W.

Why does he need to keep alvarez off him? He's the bigger, stronger, harder hitting man.

No chance is Canelo going be sitting in the pocket with kovalev, he will get mauled.

You are seeing what you want to see, kovalev to me looks very relaxed and confident.

Exactly.... Its driving me mad, people acting like kovalev is a wild slugger who will be outclassed and beaten up by a guy who had never even stopped an elite level MW!

It's interesting fight, I am going with Canelo, but it's not crazy far fetched to think people may have miscaculated how effective he'll be stepping up this far vs Kov. What if fight night comes and that body attack really doesn't budge the much bigger guy? What if a top LHW jab and power actually does stop Canelo in his tracks?

If Kov wins, I can see what the people who are picking him would mean if they told off everyone else for being crazy
