Boxrec not recognizing the WBA Gold Championship?

Post by halfamill »

Is there a reason that boxrec is not recognizing the WBA Gold championship? There are currently 10 boxers holding a gold belt and the WBA lists them under world champions not minor belts. http://www.wbaboxing.com/wba-champions#.XbsD1tVMHIV

Who cares about the latest trash WBA belt? Boxing would probably be better off if BoxRec didn't recognize any belts at all.

But they keep track of every obscure title .
I personally don't follow the WBA and their insane crap unless I want to laugh

BoxRec keeps track of the gold title too, they just don't list it in the champions table

And rightly so. They track any title in the rankings and boxer's pages. Glad to see the Champions Page is only majors.

I don't see it in the titles section.

It's in the fighters' records but doesn't seem to have it's own clickable history. If you look at Joe Joyce for example, the title is on his record.

Thanks. I see some of them have it and some of them don't. Any clue why the following fights aren't for the Gold title?
