I wish Richard Steele cared about the clock more than his bonus check from king.
I recently ran across a poll on a different boxing forum polling if Steele should have stopped the fight.

56 agree
46 disagree

That was a tough call for sure. I would have liked to have seen Taylor win the bout. I'm glad I'm not a ref.

I figured Jorge would take the early rounds. We got robbed as the last 2 rounds were going to be spectacular. I still favor Masvidal after a full 5. Dude is smart and a dog.

Masvidal was carrying him. Thought the stoppage was fine, Diaz face was a mess- good to see a doctor use his better judgement against pressure to let it go.

I think it was only going one way. Masvidal was enjoying himself and not really troubled too much.

As it is, might have worked out better for them both it ended the way it did. Can milk the rematch and earn again

Masvidal had Diaz in his pocket. What differences would Diaz had made them last 2 rounds?

After having him on the ground, Masvidal let Diaz get up a number of times.

Nate makes a couple of strong comebacks against McGregor and everyone seems to forget that he’s just as likely if not more so to continue getting his ass kicked rather than his opponent running out of steam. People posting things like, ‘Nate is only just getting going after the 3rd round like always.’ Dudes had 2, 5 round fights in his career and lost both of them. Bendo kicked his the championship rounds just like he did in the first 3. Jorge was gonna just continue putting on his beating until it got stopped. He’s just not that good compared to the elite.

The BMF thing is uber cringe. What a stupid fornicating belt. The baddest motherfucker is either the one who is the champ in the division or it’s only the guy who is HW champ. Can anyone honestly say they would rather fight Khabib, Yoel Romero, Jones, Ngannou or DC over Diaz or Jorge? I know it’s just a marketing gimmick but it embarrasses the sport IMO.

So I'm guessing you didn't purchase a replica Bad MotherF'er belt from UFC online store?

For the most part I agree. In just about every case of Nate getting clearly beat he was wrestled. Jorge just straight up out everythinged him. We all knew the BMF was a ridiculous concept. But the matchup was one everyone wanted to see. I enjoyed the card. Rumor is the numbers for the UFC event squashed the Canelo numbers, as it should have.

The thing about Nate Diaz is that, much like his brother, he's a very good fighter but not a great one. When he beat McGregor everyone started treating him like an elite P4P fighter. He's not.

That happens constantly, people still want to act like Pettis and cerrone are great fighters, masvidal too for that matter. Nate's very good.

Nick was the better of the two in my opinion.

Nick in his prime versus Jorge would have been some fight.
