Canelo fought well imo but we saw that Kovalev was looking old and sluggish. Kova got a nice retirement paycheck. I'd like to see Canelo fighting Beterbiev in 2020. That would be the best fight for Canelo imo. Callum Smith or BJS are another two great fights for Canelo.

Pipe down son! It's obvious that Canelo wants to build up his legacy. If he stayed at 160 lbs no one would say that he should move up to SMW, LHW or even CW. He did it by himself.

If he has taken this road and wants to prove something, why not to fight the best from 168 and 175 lbs?

Yes. A positive way to look at it is that Golovkin performances, skills and toughness is boosted by how well Canelo performed getting the KO against a LHW.

Beterbiev would bust his ass up good. They'd give him every round on the cards before it happened, but it'd happen.
And that's fine. Unless he stays at light heavy and starts running his mouth about how he's the best 175 pounder in the world, I think people understand there's no need for him to fight Beterbiev.
