i have to agree with the conteh - finnegan fight being not quite of the quality of most of these mentioned. i was shouting for chris at the time and i have to say he was well beaten, though courageous as always.
i also think that the kaylor - collins fight creeps in but is ultimately memorable for mark's total and very strange and sudden demise - i have never seen energy drain from a man quite like that before or since.

Williams v Potter , for a stunning finish, Williams with a dislocated shoulder somehow founf the punch to finish Potter

Ashley v Piper, total war , either fighter could have finished it, somehow it went to points.

Wenton v Lloyd , after the trauma that Wenton had been through alot of people thought he was finished, he then produced a great display against Lloyd.

I know I'll get stick for this but Brodie v Harrison was an excellent scrap for 4 rounds!!!!

I was gutted for Brodie, he looked to be getting the better of things, but obviously sustained damage to the ribs right at the end of the 4th. You could see him wince and after that he was screwed.

I always laugh at the way Harrison tried to finish Brodie in round(?) by sprinting across the ring!!

Wonder why he was so weak to the body though? Strange. I assumed he'd broken something, perhaps he'd picked up a rib injury in sparring. If that's the case that's a great shame, because he was fighting very well up to the point the body shot landed.

Few things in the run-up to the fight were not quite right and I can 100% say that was not the Michael Brodie who should have turned up to fight Scott. It was a corking fight though.

Any idea what Michael is up to nowadays?

I actually had a sneaking feeling he was going to beat Harrison, or at the least give him a hard fight, and for the first few rounds, it looked like I was right, as he was giving Harrison a pretty torrid time.

Training with Farnell from what I hear. He was working at Fitness First also. I've yet to hear a bad word spoken about him in most gyms around here. The general consensus is that he could have put a bit more into his gym work for the Harrison fight though. John Murray took the plaudits for putting him down with a body shot but it was another Manchester fighter who put him down big time with that shot, only this one did not want it broadcast too much.

Part of me would love to see him fight again, I'm getting stick for my picks yet if he did come back I'd be happy to leave objectivity sat outside and I'd be behind him all the way. I'd love it, just love it, if he won a world-title. Andy Morris also as he can really become a top-level featherweight.

I've not forgot about the things I said I'll pop over to you, I'll get a few things together and send them on, I pick stuff up but do not collect memorabilia.

harry mullen was way off beam in his assessment of the conteh finnegan bout. a great feller but not a good call
