Taylor vs Ramirez - who wins?

Post by ALI »

Two undefeated young lions in their prime.
A fight to unify all of the major belts in the division.
A potential fight of the year for 2020.

Can Taylor do it?

He could, I'm not sure Ramirez is as good as Prog.

I think he's better.

This will be a real tough, tough fight for Taylor. If he wins this one, he is one of the very best to ever come out of the UK.

I've always liked Ramirez, thought Zepeda run him close but every other time I've seen him he's impressed and the Hooker performance was a career best, still I'd go with Taylor in that one, home or away

You do wonder if all these hard fights are gonna take their toll on Taylor, he doesn't get hit too often but he's had to go tothe well a few time already albeit against quality opposition, i wouldnt get too worried if he fought a gimme like Ritson especially if he was well paid for it before Ramirez

I think Josh would stop him late.

Taylor on points in a gruelling affair! Ramirez is a good fighter with a great engine, he dismantled Hooker brilliantly. Really hope this gets made at some point in 2020.

I like Ramirez a lot but I think Taylor does it medium-wide on the cards.

Funnily enough, I think Prograis would stop him. I know that’s a big claim but I think a smaller, more orthodox (both meanings of the word) guy would be an easier fight for Regis.

Hopefully we get all the fights

I know what you mean. I commented on another thread that Prog would probably make easier work of Ramirez because of his style, also Josh likes doing things the hard way....

Taylor's wins over Postal, Bar, and Reeg were kinda similar, I figure he again would win a deserving but tough decision

Taylor is the more proven fighter, but this Ramirez looks like a bit of a beast and i'm not overly confident Taylor wins this. It will be an all out war for sure, both are come forward pressure fighters, with solid chins and high punch outputs. It will be a crazy fight.

Anyhow, it looks like Arum is stalling, he is signalling he has no plans to put Ramirez in with Taylor in the near future.

I hope it gets made, be a massive PPV fight in the uk, hopefully Arum will recognise this and it gets made next year sometime

Taylor wins, a special fighter. He needs a couple of easier fights first though, more than another war like this would be ...we want him around a good few years yet, and not burning out early - Barry matches his fighters tough

I’d not be so confident with Josh taking on Tank Davis though ..

Arum is trying to make the Postol fight, perhaps as a measuring stick to gauge how he might fair against Taylor?

Has anyone seen any ante post betting odds for Taylor vs Ramirez? I'd be interested to see how the bookies price it up.

Taylor is the best at that weight right now.
