Oubaali defends his WBC Bantamweight title against Naoya's younger brother Takuma on the undercard of the Inoue/Donaire WBSS final on Thursday, no UK TV as of yet that I'm aware of, I like the look of Oubaali , good solid pressure fighter, made Villanueva quit in his last defence although that's not the biggest scalp in the division, Ive been reading about Inoue's younger brother for a wee while now, never seen him but I know he doesn't carry his big brothers Monster power, only 3 KOs in his 13 wins
I'm sure Oubaali will be looking to unify against the winner of Inoue/Donaire assuming he wins although didn't 2 Japanese brothers fight before and one was KO'd? Maybe its not as taboo in Japan as the rest of the world, i'd love to see an Inoue brother Banamweight unification, I highly doubt it happens mind

The Eguchi brothers fought (full video here of you want to watch it http://www.asianboxing.info/videos/kusu ... aki-eguchi), but the Inoue's won't face off.handsofstone wrote: ↑05 Nov 2019, 04:03 Oubaali defends his WBC Bantamweight title against Naoya's younger brother Takuma on the undercard of the Inoue/Donaire WBSS final on Thursday, no UK TV as of yet that I'm aware of, I like the look of Oubaali , good solid pressure fighter, made Villanueva quit in his last defence although that's not the biggest scalp in the division, Ive been reading about Inoue's younger brother for a wee while now, never seen him but I know he doesn't carry his big brothers Monster power, only 3 KOs in his 13 wins

Plenty of footage of Takuma out there a tidy boxer but very much focused on speed a d movement, being slippery, rather than power and aggression

BP can Oubaali stop him I saw Inoue fight at Super-Fly I think and he took what looked a heavy kd, although to be fair he battled back very well in that one if memory serves. Oubaali has decent if not spectacular power, just wondered with your better knowledge of Inoue what you thought.

I don't think so, I think like his brother he's physically more suited to not cutting extra lbs. Might be wrong but I don't see Takuma as chinny or anythingGlobalBox wrote: ↑05 Nov 2019, 13:31 BP can Oubaali stop him I saw Inoue fight at Super-Fly I think and he took what looked a heavy kd, although to be fair he battled back very well in that one if memory serves. Thanks for that, do you think Takuma has the skills to run Oubaali close.Boxing Prospect wrote: ↑05 Nov 2019, 13:42I don't think so, I think like his brother he's physically more suited to not cutting extra lbs. He has the skills to beat Oubaali, but it's a pretty even 50-50 type bout. The youth of Inoue and the home advantage may be key

Good fight that, always enjoy watching Oubaali. Takes his backhand up and down nicely and has speedy footwork in and out of range. Thought Inoue was in big bother after the knockdown but he has a big, big set and came back to make most of the rounds very competitive. Obviously lacks the power of his brother but has plenty of decent attributes including his speed and timing of counter, fought hard till the final bell and troubled Oubaali a little late on. He can come again to challenge at world level I'd say.

Re: Nordine Oubaali vs Takuma Inoue
I had it 116-111 Oubaali but it was a competitive fight, not the greatest fight to watch but alright I suppose, Oubaali was the much stronger, his backs massive but he's a bit stiff and rigid , missed with a lot, Inoue made a lot of his shots go over his head, the knockdown in the 4th was sweet though, big left hand caught Inoue flush and put him on his arse, I thought Inoue had his moments though, he didn't have the strength of Oubaali but he had the sharpness and I actually thought he looked the better technician at times, got first and last off at times, was able to counter Oubaali in there, Oubaali upped it in the championship rounds, tried to work the body and let both hands go, roughing Inoue up but think he felt that left hook in the last round from Inoue, wasn't massively hurt but defo felt it
