Pulev looks great in shape at 248-249 as always. he seems to be taking his training very serious regardless of his opponents caliber

Pulev could have stepped on the gas and finished it but Booker was a strong mother

Pulev had to be very careful not to get cut again .. a that big gash from last fight can split open anytime from a punch

Umm, yeah, Wlad kinda proved that 5 years ago.
Have to give him credit, he has stayed relatively busy earning a living and avoiding any serious risks, while staying in the top #12 or so. It's quite remarkable really.

Shows the lack of talent at HW that he's hung around, I suppose. If he gets his title shot, I'll be forced to watch him.

I don't know that it's a lack of talent exactly seeing as how he hasn't really fought any of the supposedly talented ones.

Hughie Fury was borderline Top 20, and that's his biggest win in recent memory right?

If there was better talent, his feeble resume would keep him out of the top 10.

Nobody else has a good resume either. Almost everyone takes the, beat up on lesser foes until I get my shot approach these days.

Or at least their managers do.

It's refreshing when you got a guy that genuinely earns his shot through beating contenders. At this point even beating 1 legit contender instantly puts you in the title hunt.

I really hope the next generation of HW's take a different path. I grew up on the best fighting the best (late 60's early 70's), and this current state of boxing is like eating a meal and still being hungry.

HW used to be my fav division.
Now it's more of the same old talk and no action from the top guys. Contenders earning their shot from one good win-or less.
The only exception being Whyte who is being robbed of the opportunity.
Then you have the title defences.
Especially Wilder's ones. Not a single one of them even earned a shot, except Fury if you count surrendering belts and fighting two journeyman.
And yet we get the same old excuses, year after year.
Wrong network
Not enough money
Wrong venue
Wrong promoter
Fake mandatories to take care of
Fake or paper resumes

I pity fans just starting to watch boxing. It's more dissapoining than exciting in the HW division.

TBF he's one of the few on the forum rankings to have actually beaten another guy on there and he defo did a better job on Hughie than Parker did. The division sucks so he's still easily a contender whether by resume or ability...the very top would fold him though Wlad style.

Pulev just do enough to win , he didn't want to risk and didn't want to push the paddle ... if he wants he can, we saw that in last fight with bagu dinu.

only Povetkin stood out as a bona fide number 1 contender in between his wlad loss and Joshua.
