As A-side headliner Fury did 4-5 k and only 3k of actual sales , and not even with Wilder's US drawing power could he do that much
It didn’t even sell out. It was a Stubhub illusion.

C'mon lads, Fury trails Joshua in popularity by a country mile. Sure Fury's popularity is growing, he is working all the angles to get himself as much visibility as possible, but he is nowhere near the level of Joshua.

Now if Joshua gets sparked by Ruiz, he might drop of the radar, but ita unlikely Fury will evwr reach the level Joshua was at.

Aj is known world wide for being a boxer , one who got beat , but heh its gonna happen to any and all boxers at some stage ,,

Fury is well known world wide for being a depressed clown who was unconsious against Wilder , the only decent opponent he faced , ecept of course for a aging Klitchko ..

The record dispite being a load of rubbish is just normal to go to number one in the UK , where there is a history of shite record gimics , being put out for the kids too buy , and the moms to have blasting away at xmas .

Take away the batman suits , shite records , failed promises to donate the purses to charity , cartoon wrestling , and all the other Rubbish associated with him and his familly , and you have what you have , , a guy who is'nt really considered anything but a clown

In The UK. Even then we don’t know anymore. Casual fans are fickle.

He will sell every seat v Wilder and get a huge purse. Things have changed rapidly. When was AJ ever invited on WWE or to make a Christmas record?
He’ll sell every seat against Wilder because it’s him and Wilder, doesn’t sell out against no name fighters, AJ does that’s just a fact, I like Fury but he needs a good dance partner to do good numbers in boxing.

It has been. Things have changed. If AJ gets chinned again, do you really think he’ll sell out Wembley in his next fight? The cracks were appearing v Takam and Povetkin. A Fury homecoming would be big if he beats Wilder.

Who’s more interesting though. Josh is a product of the Matchroom promotional machine. That’s fair enough. Fury, on the other hand, is Fury. As the saying goes, you couldn’t make him up. He‘s unique, entertaining, charismatic, interesting, divisive and the rest. He has more about him than any of the other top big guys. He‘s good enough to beat them all too. But that’s another story, he may not even meet them.

I used to get excited about the HWs. Not any more, if the big fights happen, they happen. No point holding your breath for them.

Isn’t Joshua getting $75m for the Saudi fight? When it’s all about the money, Fury is behind him, by a mile too. Fury is a harder grafter for his dough though, but he doesn’t capture the imagination like Joshua did I guess. Joshua was loved by the yoots, Drake and co wanted to be pictured with him and he had/has all the big names wanting to sponsor him all that bollocks. Fury is out there selling his arse to each and everyone, gimmick songs, shaking hands with punters for £50 a pop etc
Very different ways of making moolah

Both full of shite. I hope Dubois sparks both of them

It's a daft argument.

Why should any of us care who is more popular on social media or who sells more tickets?

Or what they do outside the ring as long as they aren't hurting anyone.

I'm only really interested in who's the best fighter although I accept we're always going to root for people we can relate to, that's just human nature.

Exactly, who gives a toss. Got some seriously weird nut huggers here. All the time they aren’t fighting Its not really worth discussing. As I say, both are grade A bullshitters who believe their own hype.

Obviously this is nonsense, but I just don't get why people are so irritated by furys popularity/commercialism. It's not like he didn't beat wlad away from home, or beat wilder in his 3rd comeback fight. I wish him every success financially until his boxing career is done. Shit song tho obv.

margaret thatcher wrote: 15 Nov 2019, 15:27 There seems to be some implying that it's obvious he's the biggest HW star in the world....it's not at all. 3K as the A-side of the headliner last fight LOL. Nothing close to the biggest known/draw in his own country, and not some big presence anywhere else where others don't have it.

Maybe you can jizz on the cover of his book and mail it to him as a fan tribute though
It is obvious. WWE and Robbie Williams are global, you know. I guess you jizzed when Fury slipped trying to jump a gate at 28st and cried when AJ pooped himself against Andy fornicating Ruiz!! Get over it, Margaret and enjoy the song, and never forget- stay humble.
Do you honestly think that song is good, Mickey? Have you bought it already? I mean, it would fit right in with the canon of dreadful Christmas singles that they used to play on rotation at dreary community centre Christmas parties that used to have on the estate I grew up on, so it might even do well, but it's still crap.

For the record I don't especially like AJ's roadman man-bag and Grime music schtick either. The heavyweight division was supposed to be blowing up after Fury dethroned Wlad, but I sort of miss the big Ukranian's class and ability to conduct himself in public. This lot are attention seekers with massive egos who should have fought each other several times by now. F*cking Christmas singles with Robbie Williams! Urgh.
