I remember watching one of those programmes and one Brit was locked up for 10 years or so, I think it was somewhere in Central America in Guatemala I think in this fornicating horrible prison, so he got there and all his cellmates were going 'Oh yeah, there's another Brit in here, you must meet him and you can be friends' and then he met this other Brit - the only Brit within the 10000 plus prison population and they hated each other on sight!

This is a good story of a Brit who served time in Bolivia for drug smuggling, he had to buy his own cell!

I stopped buying ppv a couple of years ago. Competition is generally supposed to be a good thing but it works the other way for sports fans. That on top of the blatant Hearn policy to make any fight if even minor significance a ppv was the end for me.
I did buy the Taylor v Prograis fight though which was an exception. I just got caught up in the build up for that fight.
Normally I listen on the radio and log on here when the fights are on. Then I watch it on YouTube the next morning while I'm having my Sunday breakfast.

Simple reason. May potentially be Joshua’s last BIG PPV and it’s a rematch. Do or die. They’re trying to make that extra penny aren’t they. Lucky for them, it’s on around 9pm UK time. Would never have gotten away with it had it been 4am.
Question is.. IF he wins, are all AJ PPV’s gonna stay at £25? Do they go back to £20?
If he loses, his next fight would still be a £20 PPV anyway.

FFS, despite initial gut of "not paying that", I know that I will.
I am really intrigued by this fight and hoping that we see a repeat. I decided to not buy the first fight, could not find a reliable stream so went to bed assuming it would just be a routine AJ win, so no big deal. I woke up, checked my twitter and first tweet said "MAD ROUND. RUIZ DOWN ONCE. AJ DOWN TWICE AND NEARLY STOPPED!"
I sprinted downstairs but with the time delay of that tweet which was a couple minutes old, paying the money and got it working by round 6,

I remember Lennox having a forgettable first fight back against Justine Fortune after it all went wrong against Oliver McCall. It seemed a smart decision, and a safe way to get some confidence back and try out some fresh skills. He got Fortune out of there with a great uppercut after 4 fairly quiet rounds. As a lot of people are suggesting going straight back in with a seemingly even improved Ruiz seems to have disaster written all over it, especially as some mental fragility played a part in the first fight. My prediction would run along the lines of Joshua boxing without a great deal of confidence in himself, before totally unraveling in 5 or 6 slightly embarrassing rounds. The sheepish grin will come out and he'll announce how his heart isn't in it anymore and wants to go into media and managing boxers.

He's not suited for media. I'm guessing this means £25 will be the price of all boxing PPV's going forwards? Greedy pricks. Certainly feels like Hearn is cashing out, although if Ruiz wins no doubt we'll get the privilege of paying £30 in 2020 for Ruiz defending against Whyte.

How long is left on the sky/Hearn contract?

Robbing bastards Sky, thank fook I've got a box, saved myself nearly £200 on PPVs in the last year alone
Re: Andy Ruiz Jr vs Anthony Joshua rematch pay-per-view will cost £24.95 on Sky Sports Box Office
Correct. And If you are an existing Sky customer, your loyalty and custom is not acknowledged by way of any type of discount. Very shit deal for existing Sky customers.samwbr wrote: ↑16 Nov 2019, 02:08They pay for all the other channels in the US, and you don't have to pay for sky monthly to buy the PPV hereliamlion wrote: ↑15 Nov 2019, 17:27
But also no subscription fee for the Americans, unlike existing Sky customers... this is really very poor.
A cash out fight I suspect, the intention to rinse every possible penny out of the cash cash that is AJ. I imagine Sky and Eddie realise AJ is more likely than not to get stopped again and derail AJ as a big PPV star. Who else do Sky and Eddie have as a big PPV star? I don’t think they do.

Him that's been doing well sexually because he's mates with AJ...
