McGreggor was messy but he landed a lot of leather. Farook was very tidy and looked quality, but he lost his form as he got more and more marked up.
I thought Hallings commentary was massively biased towards mcgregor. That said, Jones thought Farooq won.

I've got to say I thought Farooq was robbed.

I I gave McGregor a share of the first and rounds 7, 10, 11 and 12.

The cut seemed to hinder Farooq late on.

116-112 kash farooq.

I feel for the lad.

Great fight ruined by a shady 115-112 scorecard. Farooq will learn more from defeat.

Mcgregors team celebration was poor.

A bit confused by that last card. I cant explain it.

I had Farooq winning that, close fight and a really enjoyable watch. Totally agreed with the point deduction, my only surprise was how long it took to be honest. McGregor did well in the latter stages but I thought Farooq did enough prior to get a decision, great body work and clean hooks.

Props to both for taking the risk early in their careers, the 0 isn't everything.. :salut:

Shame. Once again, instead of talking about a great fight, we talk about the judges and their scorecards.

What’s worse is not one judge had Farooq winning that. The scorecard for Farooq was only there due to the point deduction.

Just back home from this and what a fight. From ringside looked like Kash nicked it. McGregor hurt Kash a few times but I still reckon he done enough to win especially with the point off.

That’s exactly what he reminds me of. If Kash had top line power he’d be incredible. He already is a fantastic fighter. The crowd, even McGregors pals near by were praising some of Kash’s slick moves.

Both were on top form for this tonite. Was incredible fight to watch close up. Lee clearly the bigger puncher and tbh he was huge in there. His mate said to me he’s killing himself to make weight.

No more than that but trust me, there would of been plenty abuse for a result for McGregor in that fight however it had come. Same would apply other way around. It’s no surprise

Thought farooq won, but not an out and out robbery. Was waiting for mcgregor to really impose himself over the last couple and overwhelm farooq, but he couldn't do it, all credit to the lad. Thought farooq looked knackered and a bit hurt but his head movement made it hard for mcgregor to land. I liked the way he made sure he got the first punch in every round.

Think Kash will see the reaction on social media and still feel like a winner, despite that 1 in his loss column. He definitely made plenty of fans.

It would be good if they both went on to have some more fights before a rematch futher down the line possibly, provided they stay around the same weight divisions. Be interesting to see how they both progress from here

Cracking fight fought at an intense and unrelenting pace.

Both lads skilled, tough, extremely well conditioned and a refusal to wilt.

Farooq won that for me but McGregor finished really strong. Let’s do a rematch!

farooq is the better fighter ive no doubt. ref allowed mcgregor s constant fouling and dirty tricks, and im almost certain he outweighed farooq on the night by at least a couple of divisions. i very much doubt there will be a rematch as mcgregor will have to move up fairly soon. i feel gutted for farooq losing his 0 in such dodgy circumstances.

What’s illegal about it ? I’m more used to seeing it as part of a reverse 1-2 where you distract them with the right then launch forward with your jab and use it more as a power punch, anyway effective use of the jab against tall opposition

It was a great watch on the iplayer. If only boxing had more terrestrial treats instead of the PPV nonsense all the time. It might put boxing back on the map with the general public.

Yeh. Farooq was the #1 trend on UK Twitter after the fight.
