Tommy M. by a mid-round stoppage..…..as much as I loved Gary.

Gary was pretty noted for always having stuff going on outside the ring and was very different in his approach to Bruno and Lawless-Duff were at their most conservative when it came to matchmaking and career management.

Always felt that Gary needed to lose a fight on the way through so that he would fully dedicate himself and also reappraise his style and technique. He came into the LL fight comparatively green and untested, despite a very long run of wins.
