What kind of area is that? Working class or middle class or?
The reason I ask is that a long time ago (before he got pretty big and famous) I remember he put a post up from his uncles place and it looked like a mansion! I'm just curious as to whether Till comes from money or not.)

Zabit Magomedshapirov should win today. I expect he should become champ pretty soon.

Kattar has a really nice jab and solid boxing fundamentals, but he still seems to get hit a lot.Impractical Poster wrote: ↑09 Nov 2019, 13:30 Zabit Magomedshapirov should win today. I expect he should become champ pretty soon.
I think Zabit should be mobile enough and that combined with his grappling should seal the deal.

I putting my money on Volkanovski to win against Max at 245. Zabit vs Alex will be an awesome title fight.

Why is Volkov fighting Greg Hardy? This fight is trash.
Re: MMA
Im backing my boy Volkanovski, but must admit i had no idea how much taller Holloway is, when i saw the face off last week. Whatever happens, i cant see him moving up a division in the future.Impractical Poster wrote: ↑09 Nov 2019, 15:15Zabit is an insane talent!Nondescript wrote: ↑09 Nov 2019, 14:40

The more I watch Zabit, the more I realise what a great talent he is, but also how he's gonna full short when he fights for the title, because his cardio is ass.

Despite the size difference I still see Alex getting it done. He's a tenacious little guy.Tinnie wrote: ↑09 Nov 2019, 18:48Im backing my boy Volkanovski, but must admit i had no idea how much taller Holloway is, when i saw the face off last week. On the other note, i sure would like to see Zabit face Ortega before getting a title shot.

God that card sucked. Every undercard fight involved at least 1 fighter I'd never heard of and the main event was 5 rounds of absolutely nothing.

Re: MMA
I still watch regularly but I think the product has gone downhill a bit since they sold to WME. I think you see more undercards filled with nobodies, less major fights on non-PPV, and less interest in actually acquiring and holding onto the vast majority of the top level talent in the sport.
In short, I always felt like Zuffa, while imperfect, wanted to get all the best fighters under one roof and really grow the sport. Whereas WME treats the UFC as more of a pure money-making operation.
Re: MMA
Similar to boxing, the casual will only know connor and some of the old fighters that dont fight no more but there is still the likes of max holloway,Adesanya, khabib,Colby Covington and Jon Jones(when he sorts his sh*t out) plus some older guys who are bordering retirement like frankie edgar cowboy cerrone and diego sanchez. Ufc is still thriving its a brand aswell as a sport and the brand will always sell imo

I don't think any other org will ever catch up, but the UFC has let a lot of top fighters go over the last few years. They seem a lot less dedicated to keeping all the best talent under one roof than they used to be.

McGregor/Cowboy is official for UFC 246 on January 18th.
I'm expecting Conor to win but would love to see Cowboy starch his ass.

Re: MMA
Never been big on Eddie Bravo, was more familiar with him visually because of his conspiracy rants, which usually started funny but quickly became insufferable,,,,
But recently came across this video and loved it. Watched a bunch of his stuff now and could listen to him talk BJJ all day.

Re: MMA
Eddie developed a style that works great for him and addresses a lot of the weaknesses of sport BJJ in MMA, but I don't think he has succeeded very well as a teacher because few people have the flexibility and leg dexterity/strength to pull it off. It's a style that is very uniquely tuned to his body type and abilities.
I've sparred with a lot of rubber guard guys over the years and if you're sparring pure no-gi grappling, it just feels like stalling since most people aren't dangerous enough with it to actually threaten submissions.
