Chisora- Parker, or, Chisora-Usyk?
Chisora- Parker, or, Chisora-Usyk?
It is looking like two options for Del Boy. Both in house opponents, so as long as Del gets his wedge, they are easy to make.
Who would make the most fan friendly fight?
Who would you most like to see?
Who would Del Boy have the best chance against?

Re: Chisora- Parker, or, Chisora-Usyk?
I'm curious to see Derek vs Usyk. Big tough rugged HW test for Usyk, and dare I say, I make it a pick'em fight.
I'd like to see Parker rematch Dillian.

Usyk outpoints Del comfortably, just wrong for Del. Del excels when opponents stand with him or they are big stiff idiots.
Ppl get so lazy going on with the excuses about 'unmotivated' Del when the reality is that he was facing styles that made him look that way. A skilled mobile, quick boxer like Usyk decisions Del all day unless there is hidden glass or no heart there.

While I do agree with you, Del is capable of producing a game changer punch. That has to factor in somewhere.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑18 Nov 2019, 16:18 Usyk outpoints Del comfortably, just wrong for Del. Del excels when opponents stand with him or they are big stiff idiots.

Re: Chisora- Parker, or, Chisora-Usyk?
I’d rather see how USYK does against a decent big HW like Del.
Re: Chisora- Parker, or, Chisora-Usyk?
Huge fan of both Usyk and Chisora, so i’d personally like to see that one. I think Usyk would win on points but even though Del isn’t the tallest heavyweight he’s big and strong and has a solid chin. Only Haye and Whyte have knocked him out and neither actually beat him up: only Fury has done that. Very good test for Usyk.
I like Parker but he was outmanned by Whyte who was deeply troubled by Chisora in both fights. I’m not really interested in it to be honest.
Usyk Chisora I would be looking to buy tickets for definitely. I think it would be a cracker.

Usyk pisses all over Chisora, very different levels. I’d prefer to see Parker vs Usyk

I'm with you. Parker turns me off. Takes off too many minutes of a fight it seems.clopixolacuphase wrote: ↑18 Nov 2019, 17:46 Huge fan of both Usyk and Chisora, so i’d personally like to see that one. Re: Chisora- Parker, or, Chisora-Usyk?
People seem to be getting confused. Parker-Usyk isn't an option. It's not who Usyk fights, it's who Chisora fights. I've been to a few Chisora fights (Williams, Fury 2, Haye, Whyte 2, probably some others I can't think of offhand) and I had very little interest at all in his fight with Parker before Parker got injured. Usyk all day for me. Be a great chance to see Usyk in the flesh and I am a fan of both. All respect due to Parker, but I couldn't give a bollocks about him.knockout wrote: ↑18 Nov 2019, 19:28Thismargaret thatcher wrote: ↑18 Nov 2019, 16:18 Usyk outpoints Del comfortably, just wrong for Del. Re: Chisora- Parker, or, Chisora-Usyk?
DelBoy vs Parker is better for Dereck and the fans. Judging both vs Whyte it should be competitive and a good watch.
Usyk would be a predictable outclassing and damage his future earning-power.
He doesn’t really have a puncher’s chance against Usyk even. His only chance is “Usyk is freakishly unable to translate his brilliance up a weight division”
It’s NOT lazy to talk about unmotivated Del - he balloons up and down in weight and his performances fluctuate with it.

Re: Chisora- Parker, or, Chisora-Usyk?
No.
Parker embarrassed Whyte with how easily he parried and countered whilst holding his ground, then had his senses scrambled with a clash of heads. When he finally got his head clear he looked on the verge of stopping Whyte who was clinging on for dear life but ran out of time.
Either contest would be good to watch but I would expect Chisora to lose both. He has the better chance with Parker but I would expect it to be a come from behind stoppage, similar to the bout with Takam.
Usyk would likely sting Chisora all night without really getting hit and whilst a points win would be expected it wouldn't be a shock to see a stoppage on cuts or corner withdrawal.
Re: Chisora- Parker, or, Chisora-Usyk?
He looked like he didn't want to be there for large portions of the fight. The KD at the end made it closer but the strongest fighter in that ring was Whyte. I was actually quite shocked at how meek Parker was. Whyte essentially ran him over until he gassed. Whyte's since been exposed as a cheat but the same cheat to my eyes lost the first fight with Chisora by a point and was down on the cards, despite a point deduction, in the second before the KO.leejonesjnr wrote: ↑19 Nov 2019, 03:18No.

I would prefer Usyk to win as I'd like to see him clean out heavyweight but I'm a massive fan of Dereck so it would essentially be my two favourite heavyweights fighting. They both seem to seek out the best and Chisora is usually value for money even in losing, which he normally does against the best.
Let Parker get revenge on a rigorously tested drug-free Whyte. I'd love to see him beat him up. Joe's a nice guy.

Whyte nicked a win offa Parker 'cos he's dirty 'win at any price' dawg vs a stand up guy that plays by the rules.
I'd like for Parker to come again too.
Re: Chisora- Parker, or, Chisora-Usyk?
I'm pissed off at Sky trying to market Del as some sort of PPV star. He demands a big pay packet and they're scared to upset him. Parker outboxes him and Usyk will take him apart and stop him late on his feet...

Usyk for me. I think Chisora has the punchers chance that always makes these type of fights interesting.
Parker doesn't interest me anywhere near the same.
And lets face it, either fight is going to be on PPV so Usyk is my pick.

I hope Horse gets proper credit for his monosyllabic influence on Boxrec debate.
Yes the clash of heads scrambled Parker, same way getting punched in the nuts defanged Kovalev. It wasn't fair, but it sure tipped the balance and made him the weaker fighter. I prefer Kolalev to Ward, and Parker to Whyte, but they both got 'outmanned' on those occasions.

Parker was running rings around Whyte up until the head clash. The speed difference was huge! Parker was landing a three punch combo, and getting back out of range before Whyte could even react.
I would like a rematch of that.
Unfortunately, and understandably, Whyte dosent

2 options for del boy = more ££££
simples !
he will have to squeeze this as either fight could be his last at this level especially against Usyk who can move him around and make him look sloppy ..

A single syllable is all that is required in this instance, it’s not a question of varying interpretations of the finer nuances of the contest, it’s untrue statement of facts.clopixolacuphase wrote: ↑19 Nov 2019, 14:01I hope Horse gets proper credit for his monosyllabic influence on Boxrec debate.

I don’t enjoy discussion with people who don’t seem to have even seen a fight and make bizarre evaluations of the event and it’s also better not to derail threads in order to maintain a productive environment so I shall not debate this further here. If you wish to find and bump the proper thread then please do so.

I sort of agree, he is certainly close to the end, but i think that whichever fight he takes (if either) the other will still be there after a loss.stevec@france wrote: ↑19 Nov 2019, 14:50 2 options for del boy = more ££££

Is Leejonesjnr generally considered alright? I don't want to go in on him if he's generally quite liked and his opinion is respected, but he's coming across as quite a patronising c*nt here? I watched Parker-Chisora with my brother in law and we both had the same reaction to Parker's lack of venom. I also haven't derailed the thread. You're doing that. Horse can do the "no" thing because he invented it and it was funny. You're not. Eff of to your 'productive environment', wherever that is.
Sorry if you're generally a good poster but I don't remember anything you've said before you're being really annoying on this subject.
