Chris Eubank Jr vs Jermall Charlo - how this fight would pan out?

Post by apollo creed »

Imo this is an interesting fight that needs to happen mostly because it would be Charlo's first legit/notable oppoent at 160 lbs. Of course that it would've been nice to see Charlo finishing the business with Korobov but it is what it is.

I’d need to gauge Eubank Jr’s performance against Korobov, which is a fight I expect the Brit to lose.

I would also like to receive confirmation that he’s actually employing the services of a full-time trainer.

For me, Chris Eubank Jr. has so much unfulfilled potential, because had he remained at 160lbs and also employed the services of a trainer from the very start of his pro career, he could have achieved so much more. He has a lot of natural talent.

So whilst I expect Eubank Jr. to lose to the likes of Charlo and Korobov, I feel he can improve greatly, to the point where he could even defy my expectations to score the upset of these guys.

Eubank campaigned at 168 for 2.5 years. It is unlikely that he can get rid of 8 pounds of muscle comfortably enough to be able to compete with top MWs. I expect Korobov to win, so no Charlo.

I think the opposite - he’s not big enough to be at SMW and is actually a MW who’s went to 168 for £££.

He’d make 160 easily - he’s supremely fit and looks after himself well.

Eubank is fit and game and that’s about it, he swings for the hills, doesn’t use a jab and has poor feet, he takes a shot well so if your not on your game he’ll swarm and outwork you but anyone with anything about them should be beating him

Charlos jab would check eubank and he can match him athletically. Not that I believe you really want jermall to step up, what would you do with your time?

The same way Charlo beat Korobov? Of course Korobov will be turning 37 in January, so he is likely sliding already.

Korobov is getting even older and washed up as a fighter. At this point I don't think he's no measurement stick of performances between Charlo and CEJr.

This could be a problem.

I do think he looks after himself and going down ain't a problem since he always looked smaller too the other guys in SMW.

If he stops Korobov and gets solid contender on his resumé. Then I do feel he might got a shot.

He got all the stuff for a world class-fighter, then again he is proud and needs somebody with knowhow to learn other then his lunatic father.

Do love Senior, but he is crazy.
