Who will be wilders Mike McCallum.
Wilder reminds me of Julian Jackson with his freakish one punch power Jackson was a better boxer but he didn't have wilders speed .Mike McCallum and later gerrald McClellan took it to Jackson and took Jackson out before he could finish them . Last night Ortiz was boxing wilders ears off then got caught a bit like herol Graham did vs Jackson ,I think outboxing Wilder for 12 rds is a very hard job Fury did great for 11 then got tagged .I think to beat Wilder you probably need to jump on him get close and take him out is there anyone who could do it ? Maybe Ruiz or a Joseph Parker of 4 years ago even chisora might have a chance.

I was thinking of something slightly different about Wilder, and where he would stand in an all time list, he has that freakish power of being able to knock anyone out
So I'd say any of the top 20 all time heavies would beat him, but then again an argument could be put out that he'd knock any of them out.
As for your question, Wilder has been chin checked a few times, I feel he won't get knocked out by one punch, but will eventually lose by getting a beat down. Oddly I think Joseph Parker would be a nightmare for Wilder.

I think the aggressive Parker from before he won a belt would give Wilder problem.Old bones Ian wrote: ↑24 Nov 2019, 05:30 I was thinking of something slightly different about Wilder, and where he would stand in an all time list, he has that freakish power of being able to knock anyone out

I see an old amateur fight of wilders where he gets stopped and it was a short stocky Russian boxer who got close and bullied Wilder obviously it's a long time ago but it does seem a good tactic vs Wilder

Parker has to be one of the most overrated boxers in the world at the world class level.

Since Parker got the WBO belt he's been average and cautious but before he was an aggressive pressure fighter ..what I saw of him anywaysNondescript wrote: ↑24 Nov 2019, 05:41 Parker has to be one of the most overrated boxers in the world at the world class level.

Fury has already outclassed Wilder and got robbed. So, Wilder is unbeaten only formally. With Arum in his team Fury will probably be more protected from pro-Wilder judging. So Fury can repeat his success soon and write it on paper this time.

When he beat Jackson, Mike was a well schooled boxer in his prime in peak physical condition. As soon as Wilder fights one of those he's going bye bye.

I don’t think Fury outclassed him. Ortiz was winning rounds last night clearer than Fury did, neither were exactly working too hard. Fury was pinching rounds, Wilder was literally doing nothing at times and Tyson was doing just a little bit more. With the knockdowns it was a very close fight.
Fury can beat him but he needs to stay off the canvas, especially restrict any knockdowns to just one, and he needs to avoid that straight right hand like he did in the first fight. He gets caught by that and he’s done for. I think he’ll do it personally but not certain

Joshua can beat him, as can Ruiz and if he stays around long enough, Dubois will beat him ( and everyone else )
Wilder might beat all of them too though. The equaliser is for real and he’s not dealing with ATG’s, they are all flawed.

X2. Wilder is one of those fighters who could be beaten by anyone and no-one would be at all surprised. Equally, he could beat anyone and the same applies.lillywhite14 wrote: ↑24 Nov 2019, 11:51 Joshua can beat him, as can Ruiz and if he stays around long enough, Dubois will beat him ( and everyone else )

I feel like Wilder will be a lot more aggressive in a rematch knowing that Fury doesn't really possess that scary power.lillywhite14 wrote: ↑24 Nov 2019, 11:49I don’t think Fury outclassed him. Deontay should also aim for the body aswell instead of trying to head hunt with Fury, as Tyson is so good at rolling under shots.
If he aims for Tysons chest, there's a good chance that Fury dips down into the punch.

Pulev would probably just dodge the bullets and outbox him round after round.

Pulev has a nice jab. Not much else of note though.

No. Pulev walked on to so many of Wlad’s shots, he wouldn’t last five vs Wilder.polecateddy wrote: ↑24 Nov 2019, 13:19 Pulev would probably just dodge the bullets and outbox him round after round.
Boxing wise, Wilder is crap. I’m a boxing purist so it annoys me so much that his speed and power is ATG, cos if Spilka, Ortiz, Washington could survive they’d beat him (and if fury wasn’t floored although he obviously beat Wilder)
Someone like chisora would cause difficulties because Ortiz showed Wilder isn’t comfortable being backed up. Problem is Ortiz was double jab, left hand and then wait a bit where as someone like Chisora would be relentlessly walking forward (although he could walk on to a right hand and good night)
Usyk beats him so easily AS LONG AS he can avoid that power

pulev would try and snog wilder to deathpolecateddy wrote: ↑24 Nov 2019, 13:19 Pulev would probably just dodge the bullets and outbox him round after round.

He wouldn’t. He’d lose every round until he landed that right hand. Ruiz ain’t a mug and is certainly no Brazele. It’d be one of wilders most difficult fights

He'd do worse than lyakovich? Cmon, I admit I'm stubborn with crediting Ruiz but he really would be up against it here.danconnollyeire wrote: ↑24 Nov 2019, 15:34He wouldn’t. Right now DDD is too easy to hit. Wilder would knock him out.
