Ya, but let me guess, it would be 100 percent real if Ortiz had won right :doh:

How does that even make sense? Everybody dies.

Good article.

Best line - "As Mitch Green’s impersonation of a mummy against Bruce Johnson suggests, managing boxers is not an entirely predictable way to make a living, even if you’re adept at arranging results."

The heavyweight game is still unpredictable but the 'fixing' I suspect is a lot more subtle now. The losers are chosen well and rewarded accordingly, as both Ortiz and Kovalev can testify.

Most of us knew beforehand that Luis Ortiz (or Sergey Kovalev for that matter) had little or no chance of winning.

And so did Deontay Wilder (or Canelo Alvarez for that matter) and his backers.

Good business where almost everyone leaves happy - even the losers.

May I ask why do you watch boxing if it is such a rigged sport. Surely you could not enjoy it from reading your posts.
Seriously I'm curious to know

Boxing is a Sport and Competition FIRST and a Business SECOND, Anyone who puts Money over Morals, Ethics and Principles shold NOT be inviolved in Boxing in any way, meaning Boxers, Managers, Promoters, Trainers etc. Just put 2 fighters in there and let the chips fall where they may, no need to fix outcomes.

For the mama's boys that can't think for themselves:

1) the article is evidence that fights are fixed;

2) the article offers evidence that corroborates those that observe what they see as suspicious behavior or dubious, fixed results;

3) obviously, and it should go without statement, that not all fights are fixed and most outcomes are genuine;

4) it is either by ignorance, or an absurdity, to presume boxing is without corruption;

Whilst it’s inevitable for there to be a certain amount of corruption that exists in any sport, including boxing, we have to surely scrutinise the credibility of those making bold claims, prior to considering their opinions as “evidence”, rather than simply being educated speculation.

Charles Farrell has previously made lots of bold claims in the past and has subsequently admitted to being proven wrong on numerous occasions, as per the article below:

To those that feel compelled to educate “mammas boys”, I think it’s prudent for them to verify the credibility of their own sources, rather than submitting unreliable evidence. :TU:

No. It would only be 100% real if only caucasian fighters won.
