Hopkins record

Post by Roars Like Me »

I was just having a look at BHOP's record and didn't know that he was down in the 5th and 7th against Segundo Mercado for the vacant IBF title.

I haven't seen the fight and wondered who had?

Were they body shots by any chance?
Was he genunily in trouble?

I can see that he only had 3 days to acclimatise etc.

Sounds like a bias ref, hometown crowd and failure to acclimate himself to a 9000ft altitude caused the draw. Bouie had to carry Hopkins back to the corner at the end of Round 9.. I'm surprised he finished the fight.
