Yeah I've never understood that bollocks either

"I don't grass me"

We're not in a Guy Ritchie film we're in real life with real f*cking victims.
If you grass in certain areas you’re in big trouble though, you’re family might get targeted.
That's how the cycle of violence continues.

I had been visiting somebody and when I went back to my car I saw a man taking my stereo out. I didnt think for a moment about the danger of tackling him, I just opened the door and said "out". I am over 6 feet tall and this guy was clearly 6 inches taller. He tried to use the stereo to hit me on the head, while I tried to leg him over while grabbing at the stereo. As he took a step back I brought my knee up and I heard him yelp with pain. He then decided to let go of my stereo which I then
took to the police. They were able to take fingerprints and they managed to track the man down. Anyway thats basically what happened but was I being brave to confront him. No, I took him on as I did in my job as a doorman every week at our local dance hall in town. Back then you ran the risk of a head butt, a punch, or even a kick but never being stabbed. Things have changed a lot and fighting is no longer about black eyes, they can be life threatening. Its a very different World now to how it was in the 1970s.

I’ve got a relative who does door work in Manchester, I think he’s mad, every streak of piss 18 year old is walking around with a blade, doesn’t matter how handy you are these days.

Should be mandatory jail for having a knife on you, and the police should be stopping and searching a lot more.

In 1995 I jumped into the river Ouse at York to pull a lad out of the river who had jumped in while he was pissed up.
He jumped from lendls bridge and at first it was a laugh and everyone watching was laughing and whistling etc
Within a few seconds it was obvious he couldn’t swim so I jumped in and after a lot of effort (he was panicking and flinging himself around ) I managed to get him to the side and some guys pulled him out. I was absolutely exhausted and after the effort of helping this lad to the side I literally collapsed while still in the water. I was under the water for a time and two fellas on a passing boat managed to fish me out before I drowned
Long story short, I jumped in without thinking, I just knew this lad was fcuked and was gonna drown.
Once we were both safe he ran off and the police arrived and tried to arrest me for jumping in the river.
Luckily some bystanders told them what had happened and they let me go after the paramedics had checked me out.
I would NEVER do that again....well not for a stranger anyway
