Joshua is the best HW in the world
Joshua is the best HW in the world
i dont wanna hear this fury, wilder, chubby nonsense. fury lost to john mcdermott and struggled with wallin, a c level heavyweight, just like dermott. wilder, he lost on points against fury and was losing on points against ortiz in arguably both fights, he got atg power, but thats all he got, poor boxing skills. as for chubby, he got 1 lucky day and now will be wrecked. fury, wilder, chubby all struggled.
prior to the loss, what was joshua doing? he had the best record, fought the best names and beat everybody up and rarly struggled unlike the 3 others. just because he had on bad night people act like he is no good.

Re: Joshua is the best HW in the world
Not seen the head to head, looking forward to it though.
Re: Joshua is the best HW in the world
Not always a good thing.
Re: Joshua is the best HW in the world
yeah, a lot of boxers did it no good. normaly boxers become stronger, when they move up in weight, not down. i think it is the training nutrition methode and of course genetics, pac was able to go to 154 be strong, go down and be strong as well. but he is a rare talent.
Re: Joshua is the best HW in the world
I’m a Joshua fan and rewatched the Ruiz fight the other day and thought if Joshua just stays behind the jab and uses his height and reach he’ll be fine but obviously it didn’t work out like that and things changed after the knockdown , I think Joshua wins the rematch but will have difficulty along the way to a late stoppage -as to being the best hw I think fury is the more talented boxer but with less power , I think Joshua would be winning against wilder but couldn’t imagine wilder not getting through and stopping Joshua at some point
Re: Joshua is the best HW in the world
I'm sure Pacquiao didn't even pass the welterweight limit for the Margarito fight and if I recall correctly Margarito weighed in at like 150 or something. Let's not pretend that the dude was a fully-fledged 154lb fighter, he fought one fight at the limit and he fought it against a fellow welterweight. Even when he fought De La Hoya Oscar was like 10lbs lighter than the Mayweather, Hopkins & Mayorga fights...RonnyJ wrote: ↑01 Dec 2019, 02:21yeah, a lot of boxers did it no good. normaly boxers become stronger, when they move up in weight, not down. i think it is the training nutrition methode and of course genetics, pac was able to go to 154 be strong, go down and be strong as well. but he is a rare talent.
Pacquiao's power has carried well through the weight divisions but this post is so misleading, he was never more than a welterweight really, the one super-welter he fought spent most his career at 147.
Also to the OP Joshua is not the best HW in the world, he's a very good fighter but his footwork and overall defence isn't good enough to let him go 12 rounds without one of Wilder's windmill bombs landing and finishing the fight.
Re: Joshua is the best HW in the world
He's not the best. He has always been flawed and his flaws came to the surface in his last bout, when he was crushed. Let him win the rematch at least, if he can.
Re: Joshua is the best HW in the world
AJ has been floored ?
Klitschko
Ruiz
Klitschko
Ruiz
Re: Joshua is the best HW in the world
and the other 3 dont have flaws. fury had trouble some say lost against dermott, had mayor problems against wallin. wilder has no technique, just waits for 1 bang. joshua has flaws, but less than the others. he has solid technique, atg power and good speed.
Re: Joshua is the best HW in the world
1 question.
when joshua was beaten everybody up, good names, like povetkin or wlad, why didnt wilder want to fight him. why talk, why be a blithering idiot, fake 50 million offers etc., why not make serious negotiations and make the fight, when joshua was unbeaten and t/ko 99 % of his opponents?

Re: Joshua is the best HW in the world
If Joshua will beat Fury, Wilder and Ruiz, then he will be best HW.
Re: Joshua is the best HW in the world
OMG, the OP reminds me of a politician. Say something over and over and people will believe it is true. That's why they fight the fights.
AJ could very well get back on top, and that starts with Ruiz. If he wins, a trilogy would seem to be in order to prove he is better. After that, fight the Wilder/Fury winner, and maybe fight Ortiz in between. I seriously doubt he would beat Wilder or Fury, and Ortiz is also a question mark.
Re: Joshua is the best HW in the world
Fury is the most flawless out of them. Wilder is more flawed, than Joshua, yes. But Joshua doesn't have anything to avoid or survive Wilder's bomb. Wilder will lose to AJ early rounds in Deontay's trademark fashion, bout then Wilder will stop AJ. So I put Jushua after those two. And after Ruiz prior to their rematch..
Re: Joshua is the best HW in the world
Joshuacant handle wilders bombs. Povetkin and wlad have close to wilders power and aj handled it. Also lets not forget, wilder has atg power, so does aj. Fury is flat footed, slow.DrDuke wrote: ↑01 Dec 2019, 07:03Fury is the most flawless out of them. Wilder is more flawed, than Joshua, yes. I thought a couple of years ago that ortiz was the best hw in the world. Best technique, great jab, strong chin and power in both hands. He was leading on points against wilder and had he be a litle bit younger cruised to a ud.Bandog wrote: ↑01 Dec 2019, 06:38OMG, the OP reminds me of a politician. Now old ortiz losses to the top heavyweights.
Re: Joshua is the best HW in the world
Did AJ have a bad night or was he exposed a little bit ? Impossible to say really but in Ruiz he was facing someone confident in his own ability and the skills to match, his head and upper body movement, footwork, variety of punches and speed all troubled AJ so it’s not just a case of him getting in top shape for the rematch it’s more of a rebuilding job. If AJ wins I think it’s on points but realistically I think Ruiz stops him late.

It was a bad day for him. Bad training camp, when he trained in england he looked top shape, when he trained in florida he looked
70 %. I mean just look at his last fight. Slower, horrible footwork, less pop in his punches, he just wasnt the usual destroyer. Even this 70 % version was close to ending ruiz. Lets see what happens this weekend. He better not be careless and stay outside and use single shots, box safe. Guard up!
Re: Joshua is the best HW in the world
He got caught with a punch that effectively ended the fight as soon as it landed. So in that sense he had a bad day, and it can happen to anyone.
But at the same time, he seemed so lost in his corner that you have to worry how much he can change up in 6 months against a guy in Ruiz who has a good decade on him in terms of ring nouse.

Re: Joshua is the best HW in the world
The "old" Ortiz is the same Ortiz that you mentioned above, who won nearly every round vs Wilder before getting caught. What other heavyweight would catch Ortiz like that? All I can say is he would beat most of not all in my opinion. If only one of the top 5 or 10 would want to fight him. Look at the trouble Fury had with southpaw Wallin. Imagine if that was Ortiz. I hope he gets the chance to prove himself against someone other than Wilder. Whyte, Parker, Chisora, Breazeale, Ruiz, AJ, Povetkin, anyone. In the last 5 years surely one of them has had a good chance to fight him. Put him vs Wallin to see how he compares even. Either piss poor management or they don't want anything to do with him. I think both.RonnyJ wrote: ↑01 Dec 2019, 07:19I thought a couple of years ago that ortiz was the best hw in the world. Best technique, great jab, strong chin and power in both hands. Re: Joshua is the best HW in the world
Povetkin's power is less, than Wilder's. Wlad was probably closer. But Wlad let Joshua recover after the KD. Wilder would windmill him. Yes, Joshua has chances to catch Wilder earlier though. However, Fury isn't slow, he moves and at least jabs faster, than those two. And that will be enough for him to handle them.RonnyJ wrote: ↑01 Dec 2019, 07:14Joshuacant handle wilders bombs. Bit of an intention seeking thread from the op in all honesty
Re: Joshua is the best HW in the world
Ortiz still a very good hw, but with his age and the punches he took from wilder. Better end it before something real bad happens. He still would beat 97 % of the division.Bandog wrote: ↑01 Dec 2019, 07:35The "old" Ortiz is the same Ortiz that you mentioned above, who won nearly every round vs Wilder before getting caught. I think now is the time for usyk, ajagba and makhmudov to show how the match up against wilder, joshua.
They must fight each other, enough avoiding. I want to know who the undisputed #1 is. The division arguably never looked so talented.
