No. Both did very litle. At least manny landed some clear punches. Floyd basicly landed 0 meaningful punch in the whole fight. Draw wouldve been ok. I had manny by 2 rds. But both did not much.

Manny may have won 2 rounds. You just see what you want to happen.

Just remember though, Ruiz lost to Parker in a close fight, and Parker lost widely to AJ, but that didn't mean Ruizz couldn't beat AJ.. A loss doesn't mean Josh can't still beat higher ranked opponents and he;'s still dangerous to everyone

I think Josh will beat Andy easily next week. I think he'd stop fury, wilder is his biggest problem.

When Joshua (and his team) get a camp preparing for an opponent, he does well, when it's a last minute change (Takem, Ruiz) he dosent.
This says a lot about his lack of ring IQ.
He can work to a plan, train his body for what he needs to do to win (Vs Parker for example).
I think he will dominate Ruiz, and leave no need for a trilogy.
Is he the best?
No way of telling.
He might out work Fury, and get a points win. Or the other way around.
And Wilder could easily stop AJ, unless AJ does it first.
Too many intangables.

AJ is in the top 4. He needs to clean up before claim he is the N.o 1. Might be it in the Boxrec-system if he wins against Ruiz. But, Wilder and Fury are still around and yeah, depends also how he wins against Ruiz, still if he does.

One week left. Gonna be a great fight.

I'm surprised there were that many punches thrown in May-Pac, let alone landed

I'm surprised people actually believe in those punch stat numbers.... Floyd landing 148 punches is ludicrous....doctored numbers almost always in favor for the house fighter

He did , but I don't really think he landed close to 150 punches, that seems inflated, it was a nothing fight

I tend to believe Ruiz when he says he has AJ's number. At first I figured the first fight was a fluke. But after doing some research on Andy and watching their head to head, I'm betting on Andy to stop AJ again.

Research, as in watch other fights? Because as someone who has followed his career, if anything I'd say he looks pretty mediocre when you look into his other matches. His struggle with Liakhovich's corpse was just downright awful, he couldn't block a punch vs Tor Hamer, couldn't finish a bunch of weak opponents, lost to a guy AJ beat widely, etc.

Really, he went way and above what I'd ever seen from him before to beat AJ

Yeah, past his poor performances he's looked mentally frail his entire career up until he got up against Josh. Perhaps the title made him give a shit for once in his life. We'll see.

Well, as long as you can afford it.
I'm nowhere near as confident as you. I think Ruiz is in for a long night and a loss on everyone's cards

Yeah. What saves him against Joshua is his chin. Styles make fights and Joshua looks to have the style to serve Ruiz's strengths.

But I could be terribly wrong. Which I've been on numerous occasions. This is just how I feel about this bout.

The rematch will answer many of the questions that we have about the rankings. To me it seems like Ruiz is tough style for AJ to deal with. Aj is kind of mid range banger and so is Ruiz. Problem is Ruiz is way faster and has better overall skilset. Ruiz does not loose many exchanges. Parker had to run and fight from distance to not get mullered. If that fight was in mexico there is no questions who would have won it. On my score card it was Ruiz.

By the way who has Ortiz beaten to be hold into such high ranking? Hes only good win is against Jennings and it seems like now everyone is beating him. I don't trust the eye test. I need solid wins to make my rankings.
