Manny was the aggressor. There were a lot of close rds in that fight, whoever is the aggressor and does a litle more than his opponent wins the close rd. Manny won the close rds and landed the harder shots.

The fake stats also counted floyds air punches or punches to mannys guard. These fake stats are funny. I remember that youtube video where they counted every single punch landed in a rd where cotto dominated floyd and at the end it was something like 28 landed for cotto and 12 for floyd, the fake stats had something like 20 floyd 8 cotto. Those punch counters are bought!
Crazy that you're still dealing with this loss almost 5 years later.

Typical though.
People are still arguing over the Lewis Klitchko stoppage
I want to preface this by saying I thought at the time and still do that Mayweather won overall, he landed the cleaner (definitely more eye-catching punches), and controlled space and had the better defence.

BUT to be fair the punch stars were extremely controversial.

Here are the stats from a breakdown of the fight by the daily mail website in the UK.

Image

Pacquiao landed a hell of a lot of punches around or through Mayweathers guard. In response Mayweather would then shake his head to suggest nothing got through. Gamesmanship...
But at the same time Pacquiao quite often was reaching to connect, whilst Mayweather had his feet set and would punch through the target.

Having said that, as can be seen above Mayweather was outlanded by wide margins in a number of rounds. But again in the tight rounds I think it goes to Mayweather by looking at other factors such as ring generalship, effective aggression, and superior defence.
The punch stats as counted in the heat of the night are profoundly suspect (one US commentator who had Pacquaio winning asked if they were compiled by ‘kids from the HBO and Showtime offices’ and was told ‘Yes.’)
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/boxin ... ision.html

p.s. Is it any coincidence that those posters suggesting Mayweather clearly outlanded Pacquiao, on his way to a clear clear victory, 11-1 etc. etc. also think Wilder drew or won against Fury in what they call a very close fight?
where is onetimeonly who thought the win was so obvious  FAIL

Listen to your friend, Onetimeonly, he's trying to help you.

Anyway, as amusing an exercise as it would be quote mining you. I don't think it's necessary for me to read through your vast outpourings of man-love for your two nubian gods

No idea what that would be. Just another troll who hates wilder and Floyd with unbridled passion.

Joshua fought on very close terms with Parker. The scoring margin in that fight was much wider than it should have been. Joshua looked lack luster against Carlos Takam. He was being schooled by an aged Povetkin before stopping him. And finally, he was absolutely destroyed by Andy Ruiz who looked like he had just gotten up off a bar stool. Wilder and Fury have had some iffy performances but Joshua has had enough for both of them. He has to redeem himself before being called “ The Best..”

I thought it was. I don’t think Anthony dominated that fight at all. Sure he deserved the win but the scoring was ridiculous

Fury is the best heavyweight right now. The movement the range the toughness the ring iq the willpower the ring generalship the feints the traps the headmovement are all great. The speed is decent for his size. The only thing he lacks is power but he still has a pretty good ko percentage. I think the way to defeat Wilder is to get him in the corner and pepper him with tight hooks and uppercuts. AJ is a lot stronger so he could do that. I think you have to get close Duran style and finish him quick. Mike Tyson was tailor made to kill Wilder. AJ has killer power good basics great strength and toughness and he is the best inside among the top 3 Ruiz is better though.

See, it happened like i said it would.

11:1 schooling, chubby had nothing to offer and i knew it all along. Thats why i dont rate chubby, wilder or ackward fury high. They all limited and weird. At least wilder got power, but chubby and fury are just out of shape boring boxers.

Laughable some had ruiz 1, all he had was wild hooks.

Joshua improved, but still he's not the best. No one can be the best, while The Gypsy King is out there.

Ruiz was also not so popular before he destroyed AJ in their first fight. And Fury won Wallin without a doubt while having the nasty cut.
