Usyk vs. Chisora, February 2020, likely. Who wins ?

Post by ValMar »

According to Edie Hearn there is a great possibility this fight will take place (the February, next year). What do you think about ? Who wins ? How ?

This should be Parker's fight.
It will be even less competitive with Usyk.
I suppose with Usyk being a slow starter, Chisora will look OK for the first few rounds, until he doesn't.

You should have added choice " WHO CARES" :TU:

Because chisora is passed his prime 2-3 years ago

I don't know about his prime being 2-3 years ago. Del is so hot and cold, who knows when is prime is or was.
He is at least a measuring stick.
Recently led Whyte on points until the KO. That has to be something that you can put Usyk up against?
He also had the power to put Takem to bed, when Joshua couldn't.
It also takes a fair bit to knock him out.
All those things one can take into consideration. Sure, Del ain't no A lister, never was, but he is a solid, proven B- or C list opponent.

Usyk by shut-out.

Chisora is useless against boxers and Usyk is one of the very best, if not the best pure boxer out there right now.

It's been rumored to be for the vacant WBO title. With Usyk #1 and Chisora rated 14th I can't see the wbo sanctioning it

This is a good analysis.

Usyk needs a name and Chisora is a good name for someone like Usyk.

Usyk will, or at least should win without too much fuss, but as long as he does, he should then be ready for the next leve! Just below the very elite.

If the belt is vacated I wouldn't be surprised tbh, we know how theses sanctioning bodies work. Like the WBC ordering a mandatory shot for an eliminaotr between their 6 and 12---at least this one would have the top contender!

And watch Chis suddenly rise in the ranking

I've read numerous posts over the last few years stating that the wbo is the only organization that actually follows their own rules regarding ratings and mandatory status.
If this fight is for the vacant belt it will prove that the WBO is in Hearn's pocket

Come on man, Usyk earned his hype. When did you start listening to promoters? I didn't think anyone did.
There have been some successful cruisers who have gone on to make a difference in the HW division, do we need to name some names?. And Usyk is more successful than they were.
That's enough hype.

Usyk needs to be a heavy favorite at this point. But I’m sure Chisora will be game as he always is.

Chisora is exactly the big HW type that Usyk needs to prove his worth against at this weight class. If Usyk handles Chis as easily as many expect, I'll rate him as a threat in the division.
