IJL is worse. IJL once scored a prize fighter bout 30-27 in favour of a guy that had been dropped
That score is possible. Unlike a foul, there is no automatic point deduction if you're knocked down, and it's still possible for you to win the round 10-9 if you've been knocked down. In practice, however, the guy who got KDd would need to spend pretty much the rest of the round beating the snot out of his opponent.
Tell me a fight where a judge awarded a 10-9 in favour of a fighter that got dropped without scoring any KDs himself. I'll wait.

Wait for what? He wasn't disagreeing with you, he was stating a literally technicality as writing down in the rules. You could have an argument with a wall

I'm aware of this "not always 10-8" argument, but he is wrong. If a dropped fighter "beats the snot out the other guy the rest of the round" he might only lose 10-9 rather than 10-8. He certainly doesn't WIN the round 10-9.

Have you read the rule book? Also he never said there has been an example he literally just stated the rule so why the sarcastic "I'll wait" he was never arguing with you you melt

The odd dodgy scoring in favour of the home fighter and people may chuckle in a “ nudge, nudge, wink, wink” kind of way - but this guy has taken it to a whole new piss taking level
Exactly.
Home fighters nicking close fights is fine -crowds affect results, that's why there is home advantage in all sports.
TOC is something else.

He said a fighter that got knocked down could still win the round 10-9 without any knockdowns himself. This is incorrect. Now jog on.

Anyone remember the McPhilbin v Enzo fight where Enzo was all over the place in the first round and the bell went about a minute and a half early Big Tel must've been on timekeeping duties that night

I had watched McPhilbin in his previous fight to that one and thought he was aids so i had a 5er on an Enzo KO in round 1 and same for round 2 just in case I was fuckin telling all my mates and folk in work to put it on as well They must've thought i was a right helmet
I find Burns 8-4 over Relikh pretty unfathomable too (can't see how burns has any argument for the first 2 or last 3 and he easily coulda lost other rounds) although one of the judges one upped him with a 10-2
Of course boxing being boxing lets people be absolute sh!t at their job and carry on with it, even getting them promotions to the top jobs
i remember robert smith talking tough about never letting that guy who mixed up burnett and haskins judge in uk again (he prob wasnt going to anyway), yet right under his watch these absolute stinky steamy turds of brit judges are allowed to butcher fight after fight with impunity it seems

I used to have a bit of time for Smith but the fact that he will not take any steps at all makes me feel hes part of the hypocrisy as much as anyone
