I guess those pictures of Andy were really flattering angles or something

I know, right?margaret thatcher wrote: ↑05 Dec 2019, 11:11 I guess those pictures of Andy were really flattering angles or something
I saw the final presser, and thought; how is he so fat!
Those training camp photos a few weeks back were very misleading
Is it mind games?
Or has Andy fallen into a giant bucket of KFC?
Anticipating the weigh in.
Ruiz=268
Joshua= 252

I had heard somewhere that Ruiz had lost a significant amount of weight but Maybe that wasn't true. Joshua will be in great shape as usual.

He did lose around 30 pounds but that was after ballooning up to 290 after the first fight.drunkenpiper36 wrote: ↑05 Dec 2019, 16:36 I had heard somewhere that Ruiz had lost a significant amount of weight but Maybe that wasn't true. Joshua will be in great shape as usual.

So basically no difference between last fight and tomorrow?oogiebe wrote: ↑05 Dec 2019, 16:42He did lose around 30 pounds but that was after ballooning up to 290 after the first fight.drunkenpiper36 wrote: ↑05 Dec 2019, 16:36 I had heard somewhere that Ruiz had lost a significant amount of weight but Maybe that wasn't true. who do you think wins it? I'm told Joshua is favored. Kinda mind boggling to me given how badly he lost last time.oogiebe wrote: ↑05 Dec 2019, 16:47Maybe eight pounds.drunkenpiper36 wrote: ↑05 Dec 2019, 16:46

I've been leaning towards Ruiz in much the same fashion as last time. But you never know. AJ has all the physical tools to turn it around unless he's as mentally fragile as some (including me) think. Had he been more quiet and just went about his work, I would probably have picked AJ.drunkenpiper36 wrote: ↑05 Dec 2019, 16:48who do you think wins it? I'm told Joshua is favored. I guess it's just one of those fights that are too hard to call.oogiebe wrote: ↑05 Dec 2019, 16:53I've been leaning towards Ruiz in much the same fashion as last time. But you never know. A lot of head vs heart for me. I want a meaningful AJ vs Wilder fight. Seems more compelling than Ruiz vs Wilder.drunkenpiper36 wrote: ↑05 Dec 2019, 16:54I guess it's just one of those fights that are too hard to call.oogiebe wrote: ↑05 Dec 2019, 16:53

Agree. It sucks that those two didn't meet when they were both undefeated.oogiebe wrote: ↑05 Dec 2019, 16:56A lot of head vs heart for me. I want a meaningful AJ vs Wilder fight. Seems more compelling than Ruiz vs Wilder.drunkenpiper36 wrote: ↑05 Dec 2019, 16:54

And so history repeats itself.....
Re: Weight predictions for Ruiz Jr vs Joshua II?
Eh?
History never repeats
I tell myself before I go to sleep Don't say the words you might regret
I lost before, you know I can't forget
There was a girl I used to know
She dealt my love a savage blow
I was so young, too blind to see But anyway that's history
I say history never repeats
I tell myself before I go to sleep Don't say the words you might regret
I lost before, you know I can't forget
You say I always play the fool I can't go on if that's the rule
Better to jump than hesitate
I need a change and I can't wait
And there's a light shining in the dark
Leading me on towards a change of heart,
Deep in the night it's all so clear
I lie awake with great ideas
Lurking about in no-man's land
I think at last I understand
History never repeats

Re: Weight predictions for Ruiz Jr vs Joshua II?
Steve Bunce and Mike Costello interviewed Joshua in Saudi a couple of days ago and Joshua reckons he might come in lighter than 17st (238 lbs).
I don't know whether that's good or bad.
Debulking sounds like a good idea in theory, but for a 30 year old who hasn't been that light in 5 years, it might prove to be problematic.

Very nice...
I didn't mean that. I didn't make myself clear. The comment was in relation to undefeated fighters avoiding each other....
