If Hatton faces Urkal

Post by josh fg »

Will he look better or worse than against Collazo?

I think he will look a bit better with Urkal not being a south paw, however I would be interested if he feels better at the new weight after having a fights expereance and also two training camps at that weight... Is that how it works?

He's gonna look better, but who in America is gonna give a shit...Hatton doesn't have a large fan base here, and Urkal is unknown to the general public.

He still won't carry the power from 140 to 147, but he'll probably pace himself better, and have a pretty game opponent willing to stand and deliver. Collazo was a boxer, moreso than Urkal, and Hatton was setup to look pretty bad just by the logistics of the fight. I seriously think he was trying to one-up Floyd's 147 debut by taking a bigger, younger southpaw, and it bit him in the ass.

Of course he'll look better against a past his prime Euro level Light Welter in Ukral. He should stop him in 8-10rounds but Ukral maybe able to spoil, make Ricky miss and score some powder puff punches of his own.

Who cares how he will look.

We all know its a shit fight

Hatton conquers America and fights a pueto rican and now a german based turk.

The hitman invasion? Dont make me laugh.

If this is their chance to have one fight away from HBO and Hatton does not like 147, why not move down and fight Witter.

Fight Academy have taken Hatton from numero uno at 140 to contender at 147

Great job guys

Why are people obsessed about Hatton fighting Witter? Here is a fighter that could not sell out a phone box. A fighter that ran all night against Judah. I cant think of a shittier fight than this. Two rounds of throwing bombs by Witter, and when Hatton is still standing he will run like hell.

Witter is different now to when he fought Judah plus the fight was taken at the last minute. He would sell if he fought Hatton.

Witter can do southpaw and orthodox and is a counter puncher so it's the style that can trouble Hatton.

Urkal has not been the same since the second Harris fight, he looked fairly ordinary in with Maxim Nesterenko a couple of fights back. I was under impression Urkal had retired but seems he is fighting into title contention at the new weight (Welterweight).
