Well, Povetkin still is considered a one of the best.

True. I rooted for him, but picked against him. Glad that he performed better than I had expected.

Great result for Hunter. I guess it's time to start putting him in the top 10 now. He just tied with perhaps the #6 guy, and has been stacking-up numerous other gatekeeper scalps.

I thought Hunter won it by 2.
Had Povitkin hurt 3 times.
Hopefully a rematch sooner rather than later.

AT LEAST 3 times. Looked like he hurt him even more than that to me.

Scoring could've gone either way, but Hunter won his rounds more clearly IMHO. Hunter doesn't need a rematch. He can move on to another top 10 contender.

I think they have to have a rematch as it was for the #1 contender. It will be ordered in the next week I expect.

I thought the draw was fair enough. Solid fight but nothing I'm clamoring to see again.

Still it was a better performance than vs Huck. There I gave Huck the edge, now I give it to Povetkin.

I think Pov lost both, but scorecards are almost never the same :salut: :salut:

Massive respect to both. Hunter wanted a challenge, called Povetkin out. He didn’t turn around and say Hunter does nothing for him, he accepted the challenge and they fought. Was fight of the night.

Hunter throws wide and a little wild in exchanges... it will get him knocked out eventually

Id like to see him against ruiz, whyte, mr steroid cheeseburger or even ortiz. Qll good fights

Povetkin did his best but hes fading. Hearn should throw hrgovic in with him. That could be really interesting. Hrgovic has defensive flaws and povetkin can still punch.

I had it for Povetkin but it was a close fight and I wouldn't call it a robbery.

Povetkin gets underestimated these days. He was an underdog to Hunter despite having the much more proven track record and only having lost to HOF fighters. Hunter should definitely not get a title shot coming off that performance. Neither should Whyte but that's another story.

No matter what you think of Joshua. He will be a hall of fame fighter.
It is the hall of fame not the hall of the best fighters.... sorry but true
