Ruiz was schooled and fury is a slow stiff boxer.

1. Usyk
2. AJ
3. Wilder

..this may or may not be true but it doesn't make untested Usyk number 1 at this point by ANY stretch of imagination..

I do love how the Boxrec #1 guy have switched from AJ, Ruiz, Wilder and back to AJ. Great year.

Not sure who's the top guy.

Ruiz-Wilder would be interesting.

prior to the loss, what was joshua doing? he had the best record, fought the best names and beat everybody up and rarly struggled unlike the 3 others. just because he had on bad night people act like he is no good.
Why because he won a rematch against a guy he shouldn’t have lost to in the first place ?

Patience. Ring smarts. Defense. Mobility. Punch selection and technique. Timing.

Oh wait, he didn't lose enough rounds to show all those things

Looking at the points I'm pretty sure AJ will go to 1

You have a point! AJ executed the perfect gameplan aided by Jabba The Hut himself. I'm still SMH at the weight. You were right all along about Ruiz. Sad but true. He really never gave himself a chance.

Ya, Ruiz got the first win fair and square, but I really believe that was a case of him beating a superior fighter and the superior fighter making the adjustment to win easily as he should've the first time. Ruiz has talent but has been a porky headcase much of his career

AJ done well tonight and he deserves respect but he's not the best hw in the world yet no... Anyone saying that needs a shake! Winner of Wilder/Fury fights AJ then you have your best fighter? Even after that you still have Usyk floating about wanting a go!!!

The top 3-4 need to do a "round-robin" or tourney to see who's really the best. Wilder, Fury & AJ have all been inconsistent & Usyk has yet to face a top HW. AJ's meltdown in the first Ruiz fight cannot be forgotten. If AJ gets stung by any of those other 3 we could see an instant replay of the AJ meltdown.

Yeah, he needs to put his back into it again. Pretty sloppy coming in heavier and not doing his homework for the rematch. He haven't been focused since after the first fight and needs to fight somebody relevant for his own sake. Do like having him in with Ortiz, not my idea.

Well AJ just added another good name on hes resume.

Ruiz would be at least second best opponent on Wilders list for example.

x2. AJ's been overrated his entire existence, while Fury/Wilder underrated. Wilder flattens him and zero doubt Usyk boxes rings around him.

I'd say, Fury and Ortiz are better than Ruiz. So, I'd put him no higher than on the 3rd place.

For me simply; AJ is 3rd.

I don’t think he’s got the credentials to sit higher ranked than either Fury or Wilder; who are for me - the Top 2 at Heavyweight.

Resume aside, aj just has better skills than all hw except usyk. He is getting experience, he did exactly what needed to do and won 11 out of 12 rds. Fury and wilder can handle aj, when aj is moving, jabbing, 1 2. Fury has no quick hard punch, is slow in reaction. As for wilder he would just lose rd after rd waiting for that
1 boom. So if aj fights with patience and doesnt get into a brawl he wins an easy ud. Usyk is very dangerous, he can deal with tall strong hw, like he dealt with joe joyce in the am.. Joe was shocked. Usyks footwork, combination punching and his athletism is just a level above hw.

I sincerely hope for Usyk vs. Joshua. What a fight :box:

Also, rating AJ lower than Wilder or Fury at this point is just laughable. His resume is way ahead, he beat better opponents than both of them combined and a single nasty loss is just not enough to offset this fact.

exactly. also people overrate losses. lewis, who some consider the best hw ever, lewis lost to b level mc call or rahman, wlad an atg lost to purrity, who isnt even b but c level. so losing is nothing spectacualar. if a boxer learns from it and gets experience, than the loss did something positiv, it seasoned a boxer, made him more versatile.
