He's already had his ass whipped by Joshua once before, and you'll get no argument from me as to whether or not he'd get knocked out by Wilder. I think it'd be similar to other Wilder fights. He'd give him problems for a little while, and then he'd get caught...and the problem would be over.KiwiRider wrote: ↑07 Dec 2019, 22:28Physically- I don't think he trained enough. Though, it was his lack of speed and defence that made me say "infinitely beatable" because if Wach, and let's face it, it's Wach, can land slow, telegraphed overhand rights consistently flush, then the Whyte we saw tonight gets startched by a puncher easily.gilgamesh wrote: ↑07 Dec 2019, 22:22
I normally don't buy it when guys give the excuse that they haven't been training properly, and their head hasn't been in the right place and this and that, but I believe it in Whyte's case with him basically being robbed yet again of his rightful title shot, and being handed a lengthy suspension from the sport.
I definitely don't think this was as good as he's capable of being. That being said, I think even the very best Whyte doesn't have much of a shot against the guys at the top. He's a solid contender, and will continue to be for a while to come, but I don't see him ever being more than what he is right now.

He should keep it, he obviously did better because of his new hair style

Joshua is going to blast out Pulev inside 2 rounds in his next fight.

I don't think this style is here to stay, but it showed one thing - He has more in his locker than both Fury and Wilder.
He adapted his game plan and won big in a rematch that a lot of people thought he would lose.
I was impressed with Joshua's fitness, there was mumblings in the round by round thread that there was no way Joshua could keep on his toes for 12 rounds and that he was blowing after 4 rounds. Reality check for those guys, he was still dancing in the 12th round.
I think he should get more credit - A lot more credit actually.

I wonder if they have concerns over his ability to take a punch as it was clear he didn't want to trade with Ruiz. Anyone remember a few years ago when AJ was interviewed about Wilder and he laughed that no way a 15 stone man could hurt him!! I think he has realised he can be hurt and fair play to him for adjusting.

That's what i thought,he did what he had to do to reclaim the title,I would have preferred him to have put in a devastating show like Lewis did in the Rahman rematch and made a massive statement, but well done for being a 2 times champion.Controversial wrote: ↑08 Dec 2019, 06:49 I wonder if they have concerns over his ability to take a punch as it was clear he didn't want to trade with Ruiz. Could he have kept that up under more pressure though?Twinkle Toes wrote: ↑08 Dec 2019, 06:04 I don't think this style is here to stay, but it showed one thing - He has more in his locker than both Fury and Wilder.

It will be much harder to outbox fury, or to avoid wikders shots.

Interesting what Froch said pre fight that AJ only done technical sparring in previous fights, sounds like he done proper hard sparring for this rematch and that’s what he needs, he is still a fairly inexperienced fighter who was late to the sport and with a lot of quick wins.
Re: AJ’s ‘new’ style. Here to stay?
I just think he got caught cheating (I know he's been 'cleared') and this is him off the gear. Whyte has never been a good boxer, just game and strong. I think he was cheating for Del Boy and Parker, and came close to losing to both.KiwiRider wrote: ↑07 Dec 2019, 22:19I thought he looked infinitely beatable tonight. The worst I've seen him. Slow, lethargic, predictable, and utterly defenceless to a slow telegraphed overhand right.Grilling Machine wrote: ↑07 Dec 2019, 22:05 Talking of Whyte, I do believe he's improved since he fought AJ, but I also feel that his chin's never been as good.
Was he just playing badly to attract Wilder, or was he just having a very bad night?
Wach is Dillian's usual fare of totally faded ex-contender name. He's clean now and will be KO'd as soon as he steps up again.

Your testicles are safe. I used to follow Dillian's instagram and at one point he was a big lad but still kind of fat and then he got bigger and bigger and stronger and stronger until he basically (and I will have to choose my words carefully here as I believe when the subject came up before an infuriated poster actually left the forum) overpowered the superior boxers in Chisora, Rivas and Parker. Then he got busted and suddenly he looks very ordinary again.rd350lc wrote: ↑08 Dec 2019, 09:23At the risk of getting my knackers cut offclopixolacuphase wrote: ↑08 Dec 2019, 08:58

Looks to me like he probably won't ever be a world champion and will in the group just under , but would give any of the top boys a tough night ,just wish he would train properly and get in really good shape . Can't disagree about the ped stuff though , but I would imagine they are all at it , doesn't make it right tho .
Look at his line up before: Lucas Browne (KO'd by Dave Allen), Robert Helenius, Chisora 1 (which I thought he lost): people with 'names' who have come to the end. Wach is Whyte's MO. Chisora will be laughing at that.
Re: AJ’s ‘new’ style. Here to stay?
Guess his next fight at a decent level will tell us where he's at , don't you think most if not all the top heavies are getting a little extra " help" though ?clopixolacuphase wrote: ↑08 Dec 2019, 10:40Your testicles are safe. I think Wilder and Parker are clean. I think AJ might have been clean last night, actually. But not before. Hasn't everybody else failed at some point? Chisora's recent transformation, as much as he is one of my favourite fighters, is somewhat iffy.rd350lc wrote: ↑08 Dec 2019, 10:52Guess his next fight at a decent level will tell us where he's at , don't you think most if not all the top heavies are getting a little extra " help" though ?clopixolacuphase wrote: ↑08 Dec 2019, 10:40

Usyk... I would like to think he is clean but maybe that is wishful thinking. I think Whyte was clean last night.
