Neither have anything to lose really.
There isn't going to be any title shots for either in the next 12 months, unless it's a last minute replacement.

Why the hell not? Good fight, even if both guys came of losses. Both guys are with Haymon. So would be easy to make, and is a high profile fight between two top-guys.
I do hold Ortiz as a favorite, since how he looked against Wilder, I don't think that Ruiz would much too put up with Ortiz at all.

Ruiz Jr. beats Ortiz. The Cuban doesn’t run.

The Cuban can't run, he doesn't have that capability.

It could be called Godzilla V King Kong.
It would be a more entertaining version of Greg Page V Tony Tubbs.

Re: KING KONG ORTIZ calling out ANDY RUIZ---will it
He doesn't need it. All I hear for several years is that Ortiz is old, slow, etc, but not one HW top ten guy has stepped in the ring to find out. (besides Wilder) A few years back he out-performed Wlad against a common opponent, then others didn't seem to want anything to do with him. He signed with Hearn only to be put on ice, and kept away from Joshua. His team turned down a short camp fight as a replacement with Joshua, but why wasn't he the first choice? People that really know boxing know the answer.
Fight him, and see what's up.

LOL, ya, it's everyone elses obligation to fight him, he has no part in presenting money offers and making fights happen. And he did get an offer from a big name other than Wilder, but your favourite PED lover rejected it and lied about the offer. It's just a fact. He uses PEDs and cries duck but then rejects big offers for 3 belts on the line, yet you love him anyway and call other guys ducks and cheats
As for common performances, omg Chis stopped a guy in 6 who Ort couldn't in 12![[icon_e_surprised.gif] :oo](./images/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif)

Luis Ortiz = 'I want AJ!! I'll fight him any time any place! I'll fight him for nothing!!'
AJ = 'Here you go. Millions and millions and millions for a shot at all my titles'
Ortiz = 'Waaaaaaah. NO! I'm not fighting you waaah!'
Ya, poor poor Luis, the totally honest talking PED lover, no one but Wilder is willing to fight him

This can't be a serious question.
Perhaps because Joshua wanted an opponent to help him promote his grand entrance into America.
So you can choose Ortiz who barely speaks a word of English and doesn't really have a following.
Or you can choose Big Baby Miller an unbeaten Brooklyn native with a motor mouth, to fight you at MSG

In Banny's world the obligation is on everyone else to fight Ortiz and if they haven't fought him they are ducking him. Even though he said he'd fight AJ any place, any time, for any amount, yet still rejected it

Re: KING KONG ORTIZ calling out ANDY RUIZ---will it
I can recall Ortiz refusing to face Whyte and Joshua.
I can't recall any times Team Ortiz has submitted finncial offers to any of his peers.
Those are two situations that Luis Ortiz's fans can't explain.
Re: KING KONG ORTIZ calling out ANDY RUIZ---will it
It was a serious question. I believe at the time he was the WBA mandatory who was supposed to get the fight after Wlad. Seeing it wouldn't happen he signed to fight Wilder.Finkel wrote: ↑08 Dec 2019, 23:38Why wasn't he the first choice?Bandog wrote: ↑08 Dec 2019, 18:05

The mysterious Whyte duck is fantasy. It was Whyte that ducked Ortiz. The last time was ordered, and he refused. The AJ fight was turned down by Ortiz's team before talking to Ortiz, and it would have been too short of camp to prepare properly, and they had agreed to fight Wilder again.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑09 Dec 2019, 04:40I can recall Ortiz refusing to face Whyte and Joshua.

As far as making offers, you have to have the money for it, and normally it is the A side that makes it.

And Team Ortiz have never submitted financial offers to any of the Cuban's world-rated peers.
These things appened.

1. signs with Hayman
2. Wlad fights Joshua for WBA belt
3. agrees to fight Wilder for WBC later in 2017
4. Ortiz fails another drug test, loses his initial shot at Wilder for WBC and his status as WBA mandatory
5. Joshua fights his IBF mandatory
6. Joshua fights Parker for WBO
7. Joshua fights his WBA mandatory

Banny puts it on everyone else to fight Ortiz. Ortiz can reject big offers and not make any actual offers of his own, yet somehow it still shows that everyone else except Banny's favourite (Wilder) has been ducking the Cuban PED lover
'I fight any time , any place, any money!'
'Urh, well, actually I don't wanna fight!!'

Re: KING KONG ORTIZ calling out ANDY RUIZ---will it
I agree. At least Ortiz had enough desire to win the Wilder rematch that he got in better condition at 236#, (5# lighter than their 1st match & his lightest weight in 4 1/2 years). Unlike Fatso Ruiz, who ballooned up 15# of blubber to 283# (his heaviest in over a decade).Riddick Blowe wrote: ↑09 Dec 2019, 07:47 Great fight, I would watch it for sure. I give Ortiz the edge.
