So, who is the next for Anthony Joshua ?
Re: So, who is the next for Anthony Joshua ?
Pulev's best win was a decision against Chisora. He's like a much crapper and less powerful Wlad. I'd much rather see the Usyk fight, if the winner of Wilder/Fury doesn't happen.

Usyk is with hearn so id guess keep wbo and drop ibf.
Re: So, who is the next for Anthony Joshua ?
I would enjoy AJ vs Pulev, with Usyk vs Chisora as chief support, sometime early next year. Then ideally the winner of Fury-Wilder 2 as the big one in the summer. If those two dick around, as they are well known to do, then AJ vs Usyk (assuming they get through their earlier fights) as the summer unification is fine with me.
Re: So, who is the next for Anthony Joshua ?
To be fair, he made Dereck look a complete mug. It was pretty one sided. He did a much better job on Hughie than Joseph Parker did and also UD'd the Tony Thompson that had just stopped David Price twice in a row.
To be fair though he does have history of swerving Joshua though, doesn't he? He was mandatory once before and managed to dodge it.
Re: So, who is the next for Anthony Joshua ?
I completely agree with you. Seems lot of people pick to remember bad performance from pulev and try to ignore his good performance. Lets not forget tony thompson was a force back then.clopixolacuphase wrote: ↑08 Dec 2019, 15:49To be fair, he made Dereck look a complete mug. It was pretty one sided. Pulev was pounding chisora with hard jabs in a very one sided fight. I think chisora had bad style for Pulev. Even he beat Hugie fury in much better fashion than parker and Povetkin did.
Re: So, who is the next for Anthony Joshua ?
Tony Thompson had one of the best postfight interview ever when he said something about giving donating to a wheelchair fund for his wifes pelvis.
Do wanna get the Pulev fight overwith as a fan so we can get to everybody else in the top tier. Fury, Wilder or Usyk.
Great era, hoping that it ain't get full of dumb drama thats gets in the way of great matchups.

Why is there a thread about this topic when we’ve discussed this subject matter multiple times?
The WBO tile will be vacated with Chisora or Parker challenging Usyk for the vacant strap.
And AJ will perform a mandatory IBF title defence against Pulev next.
If Ruiz Jr. can gain a notable victory and also shift some weight, he’ll inevitably become Joshua’s next foe after the Pulev bout.
Wilder and Fury will have two bouts during 2020 and the series victor will face Dillian Whyte by February 2021.
Joshua won’t face Wilder or Fury until the second half of 2021.

Lets see how the politics plays out. But yes it feels logical that a fight with either of those guys is somewhere later down line. Best case scenario is if it happens in 2021. You know boxingpolitics...Enlightened-One wrote: ↑08 Dec 2019, 16:38 Why is there a thread about this topic when we’ve discussed this subject matter multiple times?

I’ve posted loads of articles and videos about this subject matter.ValMar wrote: ↑08 Dec 2019, 16:44Do you know, believe or predict ?Enlightened-One wrote: ↑08 Dec 2019, 16:38 Why is there a thread about this topic when we’ve discussed this subject matter multiple times?

What I’ve stated isn’t an opinion piece.
Apologies if I come across as a Smart Alec, but when you’ve read the articles and watched the videos, posted them to this forum multiple times, but people ignore them and continue to raise more threads about the same subject matter, it becomes rather tiresome.
People are asking us to guess and provide an opinion, but there’s clearly no need to do so, when we’ve already been spoon-fed the answer directly from the proverbial horses’ mouth.

That’s their prerogative.
Even if they feel my opinion is somehow invalid, they shouldn’t ignore the evidence I’ve cited.

It is obvious big money in boxing (or at least some sports writers) don't want Ortiz in line to fight Joshua, but apparently Joshua does. Look at the title of this article from boxing scene: Joshua: When Wilder, Fury, Usyk Are Really Ready - They Will Call
Here is what Joshua said in the article: "When Wilder, Fury, Ortiz and Usyk are really ready, they will make the call.
I would love to see Ortiz vs Usyk. Use the old man for a tune up!

True. I just think I'd rather see the Usyk fight.clopixolacuphase wrote: ↑08 Dec 2019, 15:49To be fair, he made Dereck look a complete mug. It was pretty one sided. As a side one fight I've always wanted to see is Pulev Vs Povetkin. I'm not sure why their paths have never crossed.
Re: So, who is the next for Anthony Joshua ?
It'll be Pulev or Whyte. Probably Pulev
It would be a smart move to take on Usyk for he gains more experience at the weight and catch him at the right time like Floyd did with Canelo. That won't happen though....

Dubois is too young for the top level. Pulev is a decent top ten HW, but how can he beat Joshua ? Should he brawl against Joshua ? No, he would be KO'd. What about jabs and distance ? Joshua' s jabs are better. Simply, I can not see the way.Shhhh wrote: ↑09 Dec 2019, 13:23I would give Dubois a much better chancedanconnollyeire wrote: ↑09 Dec 2019, 12:27
Same but Dubois has shown me aside from a lucky punch, he has done nothing to suggest he's anywhere near that level yet
I don't rate Pulev much but he is a top contender

It's very interesting to see all of sudden Brit fans wants kubrat pulev now. They used to reject him 2 years ago.
They think Anthony joushua is not high caliber champion labelled as before, meantime pulev has got older.

Where do you get this crap from? Nobody rejected Pulev. Any version of Pulev would have been smoked in short order by Joshua. He brings nothing to the table.

AJ has to fight PULEV---the IBF will strip the IBF title from AJ if he does not fight PULEV next.
