Sure, though what would convince you he's actually a nice guy with time for people? Look at what our man Jon says for example...
He's all over the place - 1 minute he's humble, the next he's demanding we bow to his feet. He's obviously been watching interviews with Ali in the build up, quotes like "I'll show you how great i am when i beat Ruiz", then his little rhyme post fight on Saturday. All things considered I see a commercial machine with a carefully managed persona with his ghetto background exposing itself every now & then. I don't hate him by any stretch, but he's not for me, in the ring or out of it. Tbh i kinda feel the same about Wilder and Fury too, they all have limitations and struggle with finding their celebrity persona.
You think he's being fake to Jon's boys?

I don’t really get emotionally involved with any boxer unless they’re Scottish. I certainly don’t hate AJ but he does come across as pretty plastic and pretty characterless. He’s decent to watch though, a bit lumbering but fundamentally solid and obviously very fit - which can go a long way in such h a historically weak division.

I’ll never understand why people get so emotionally involved with people they’ve never met that they’re well aware have PR teams and promotors pedalling bucket loads of spin out by the hour. Just watch the boxing and stop greeting like a bunch of bairns

What if I don't hate but just don't rate his ability nor buy into his persona... is that allowed?
How can you not rate someone's ability when they hold versions of a world title and won Olympic gold ?
Big stiff banger, crumbled the first time he traded with a guy with a good chin. He's just not a fluid natural boxer, he didn't lace them up until he was 18 and ot shows. I think Wilder has similar limitations too, yet an equally decorated career. I just watched him get his ears boxed off 2 weeks ago vs a far superior technically gifted fighter.

Great video. He’s done it through a sponsor but you can genuinely see the warmth he shows her.
He’s made a young woman’s dream come true.
Good publicity for disabled boxing.

Well done AJ :TU:

The persona thing I get , but if I'd ever been good enough to win a world title at anything I'd consider I'd done bloody well .
exactly !

There are some prolific posters on here who revelled in his June loss and then loudly predicted a defeat in the rematch , at the time I said I believed he could come back / adjust style and get the win and was given some stick for posting that . I responded by saying OK so if he does what I believe he can then will you come back and give some praise and accept him for what he is ..

Guess what I am still waiting to see a slice of humble pie from these guys :brick:

I worked for England Boxing for 11 years and was around the EIS in Sheffield a lot. Joshua is a genuinely nice guy with time for everybody. He'll always acknowledge you and ask how you're doing. He has been that way since he started on the GB programme and he's the same now. He's very well liked there and I never heard a bad word about him.

Don’t really see how the two are connected, I was cheering AJ on the other night, but him and Hearn deserve some stick for the sports washing thing, listening to Hearn waffle on about bringing the sport to the Wider world yadda yadda yadda was tiresome. Just admit it was purely for the money.

Alright you got me, i too know theres a right mad Ho throttling sadist lurking inside him somehwere, sure to surface anyday now.

Given the filth that is churned out in todays tabloids, this sh*t, when big Josh the hussy hounding, siren pounding, whore throttling crazed killer finally makes his move on the streetwalking scene, this stuff wont even make the front pages. It will be hidden on a small corner of page 12 with the headline " JOSHUA THROTTLES A HO", followed by four lines of text that aim to resemble a paragraph, completely overlooked by more important matters like a full page piece by Dear Dierdre "why i let my dog blow me while the local farmer watches" and a two page picture spread on a young Boris Johnson raming a pigs head while smoking a blunt with Epstein visable in the background seen sniffing a line of coke of a teenagers arse. Thats my forecast for next Sunday's papers. AJ, he is clearly on the verge of a rampage, but the world will go on regardless, Nelson will still be dribbling on Sky, Khan wa*king on skype and Hearn pumping Chisora and the likes with no vasilene. I'll bet Fast Car gets Joshua out on bail and makes the Fury fight before he is sentenced.

Fcuk i'm stoned right now, confuzzling thoughts
